Pakistani average male/female height and weight cause for concern

Inspired from this thread;

Pakistani data.

1.67m and 65kg. Males
1.54 and 58kg Females

Lack of nutritional food, lack of exercise, close cousin marriage etc. Is there one main factor?

I am not an expert on this domain, but taking Dutch as point of reference for comparison is an incorrect measure for Pakistanis or any other South-Asian ethnic group. It is just like taking Brad Pitt as a point of reference for male personality and then comparing yourselves to him :P

On the other hand, malnourishment is a key issue which greatly effects on a person's height and weight. But again comparison to Germanic Races is just absurd!

Then by your theory , Balochistan nearly with the land size of germany and only have 10% population as of Punjab should have been the most prosperous and developed province in Pakistan and on other side Punjab should be the least developed province but the reality is different. If only population was an issue
answer will be political and will lead us out of topic .
Overpopulation is a myth. https://fee.org/articles/the-myth-that-the-world-is-facing-a-population-crisis/

Two kids policy has proven to be a failure. It caused the obesity epidemic in China. We should educate people about contraception and protection then let them decide how many kids they want. Limiting the number of kids you have for fear of poverty is also haram because Allah is the provider.

The first assumption is plain wrong. It's based on making assumptions from past statistics.

Do some simple math, you'll see.

For the rest of your points, I agree with you but it is reality. We're working on the fix. You're also not factoring in the amount of deaths that are about to hit us by 2050. With a stabilized population growth and quite a low global birth rate (18.5 out of 1000 people; death rate 7.8 per 1000), all it takes is another wave of virus to send the global population hurtling downwards.

For a brief explanation of how some Pakistanis have been fooled by this well engineered scam:

For those up to the challenge:

Milk was discussed in this thread so let me add this also:

I know the scare couple of years ago was having too many kids.....but now it's the opposite.

Also I thought Imran Khan and PTI was going to regulate packaged untampered milk in stores and eliminate these fraudster milk men that mix god knows what in the milk that they distribute in the cities.

Aaj kaal halaat hi innay maaray kitay pe awam de, banday nu pook naal chakar aunday, te loki kende panchod sharab pi ke koom rya.

"The UN forecasts that the 12th Billion child will never be born" ~UN (post 49, first video @5:50).

And ya all better believe it instead of harping this age old myth of overpopulation.

Cherry on top....that video was sponsored by Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

Another reason why we won't have the 12th billion human:

Everything we eat these days is polluted, impure & unhygienic.

Thanks to Covid one thing that has come about at least for me is a) Not eating out b) Minimal calling in of food and emphasis on home food. One has got used to it now after the initial hiccups

The vegetables and meat we eat are injected, the fish is from terrible water often with chemicals, the spices have impurities, RO water has no minerals. Last but not the least is fast food. The air we breathe needs no elaboration especially during this time of year

life is getting difficult by the day. Regular exercise is possibly the only safeguard

It’s because everything is do numbar in Pakistan, but mainly milk which is super do numbar. Just look at the kids in villages that have their own cows for milk as opposed to the milo drinking city kids and you can clearly see the difference.

All strong people in Pakistan have access to pure untampered milk, while the weaker and more sickly people usually don’t.

This is why breast feeding is important, but people treat their women like a donkey so many mothers don't produce enough milk while others are giving kids formula through nakrah.

Quite right!!

After birth, the best thing for a baby's development is the mothers milk. It's been known to pass along immunity to the kid from the mother also, among many other good things.

But if the mother can't produce milk and the child is raised on formula.....well you'll have very "malnourished" kids.

And let me tell you another thing.....the 1st kid kick starts the development of milk in the mother but the second kid gets all/most of the benefits! This might be the reason why most 2nd kids in Pakistan are healthier than their older siblings. This is just my theory, I don't have facts to support them but everyone feel free to destroy or support this theory (with facts!).

Also our people are having kids every 12 months. Farming people take more care of thier buffalo than Pakistani do of thier women.

It is Sunnah to let the babies breast feed for up to 2 years. With our people after a year chota bhai ya behn are here! No more milk for you!

Pregnancy is physically tough yet these women aren't able to recover before the next one begins. They're not able to give time to develop the basic skills of thier children and and top of it all thier saas is busy judging them.

Dont send your kids to school until he/she not above 5 or 6

ISLAMABAD: The Council of Common Interests (CCI) has agreed to launch a five-year project worth Rs350 billion to control malnutrition and stunted growth among children in the country.

This decision was taken during a CCI meeting presided over by Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday. The chief ministers of Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan were also present on the occasion, a statement issued by the PM Media Wing said.

The PM noted that energy issues carried a national impact and it was necessary that a consensus was developed among the provinces where a win-win result was achieved for the benefit of the people of Pakistan.

It was agreed that the cost of the five-year project would be shared equally between the federal government and provinces (around Rs175 billion each).

The project titled ‘Tackling Malnutrition Induced Stunting in Pakistan’ will target 30pc of the total population of the country with 15 million women of reproductive age group and 3.9 million children under the age of 2 years through nutrition interventions, the statement read.

Keeping in view the importance of developing a consensus on energy issues of the country, it was decided that the next meeting of the council will be called in the first month of next year to finalize issues related to costs of electricity, gas and fuel and also to resolve water related issues.

The CCI agreed that the federal government will provide for nutrition supplementary commodities, capacity building of new & existing healthcare workers, besides research & monitoring, while the provinces will contribute towards the implementation through involvement of existing lady health workers (LHWs), community health workers, target population identification, programme management, institutional arrangement, evaluation and data sharing.

Meanwhile, the CCI considered the request of the KP government for one-time permission to swap/substitute arrangement of one exploration block with another prospective block within the province. The meeting accorded the one-time approval for the swap with the condition that commitments accruing out of previous award of block should be completed and the Petroleum Division should incorporate a time limit for such swap so that future requests were catered for.

The CCI also reviewed implementation status of previous decisions.
