A global survey published in the medical journal The Lancet in November 2020 also shows that the Chinese population is getting taller with the average height of Chinese males seeing the biggest rise between 1985 and 2019 among all the 200 countries and regions surveyed, while that of women ranked third. The report says the average height of 19-year-old Chinese males is 175.7 cm, and that of Chinese females is 163.5 cm.

Depends on which part of India. Indians are not homogeneous, the regions are completely different from one another, ethnically, culturally, etc. Northern Indians are a lot bigger and taller on the whole than Southern Indians are. Northern Indians are also more caucasian racially while Southerners are more dravidian.


If this was broken down by province, China's Northern provinces are way taller than South Korea. Probably averaging close to 180cm.

This is what i found. They are tall in north and south - esp kerala. Short in middle

Also for indians caste matters a lot due to horrible discrimination there. The upper castes in all parts are significantly taller than lower castes. Indian state is too ashamed to even collect stats based on caste.

Im 178cm and thats average or below average in Australia so i don't know what your talking about. I would be considered short in most of EU. Most white people are 180cm or taller thats just facts.

they are taller on average than other people in other continents, but not average 180 cm or taller. not what i've seen with seen with my own eyes as a backpacker for 1.5 years in europe walking daily on streets. the french men and those dudes in the southern part like in spain, portugal , italy, greece, malta, etc are not much taller than those guys i've seen in south korea or mexico. the people that i noticed with an average taller than me or around my height on the streets were in the former yugoslavia country, not the dutch like claimed in wikipedia. lol
