He was working with a foreign secret service and infringing on sovereignty of the country.

You could compare this to US claims of Russian hacking during US elections. As per your logic, US government should be OK with that because the hacking is showing the corruption within DNC and whatnot. So why are the not OK with that?

Keep in mind, Afridi's case is actually worse because Russia was doing this from thousands of kms away, while Afridi was infringing on the sovereignty while in Pakistan.

The DNC hacking was corruption as per definition, but let's call it embarrassing details. As per your initial argument, since the alleged Russian hacking showed some embarrassing details of what was going on in the US, the US government should have been OK with it. Yes?

Why is DNC hacking corruption ? It is a cyber crime with Russians as alleged criminals.

The US government is not okay with it because it is a cyber crime. Plus it is attempt to interfere with US elections.
