Featured Pakistan will proceed on Kashmir issue with or without Saudi Arabia : SM Qureshi

I understand. That was last year...since then Mahatir has gone...so No Malaysia now.... though given Iran/Qatar rivalry with Saudis....and under China's influence...Qatar can be a replacement to Malaysia.
Maybe we garner some support from Africa.

The UAE and Saudi Arabia have, in recent years, extended invaluable support in countering terrorism and blocked attempts to condemn India in the Muslim world.

It's not a secret, it's a truth & a fact which everyone knows... OIC is there to only Benefit the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia i.e Economically , Militarily, geopolitically & to have full power over other monarchs & topple govts in neighbouring countries until their slave is not installed there & when they fail then Either your Fate is Yemen or if you're a bit rich country & have a backing of turkey (& US base) then you'll be an example like Qatar...

I dont know why we're even there in Failed OIC ??? 5/AUG Happened last year & after a full year Riyadh has not even addressed Pakistan's Core Concern ?? It is not Oic rather it's Riyadh's (UNSC) but veto power ,decision making is only with Saudi Arabia.

These egoistic monarchs needs to be sent home (western countries) through revolt & legitimate uprising of locals..Nawaz Shrf went to Saudia in 1999 with 50+ containers & these monarch's will go to their desired place with all their luggage of 2000+ containers.

Their days of Oil Showers are numbered & their budgets are already stretched.

FM Shah Mahmood Qureshi says Pakistan skipped Kuala Lumpur summit on Saudi request and now Pakistanis are demanding Riyadh ‘show leadership on the issue’. — DawnNewsTV/File

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi in an unusually sharp warning asked Saudi Arabia-led Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Wednesday to stop dilly-dallying on the convening of a meeting of its Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) on Kashmir.

Appearing in a talk show on ARY News, the foreign minister said: “I am once again respectfully telling OIC that a meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers is our expectation. If you cannot convene it, then I’ll be compelled to ask Prime Minister Imran Khan to call a meeting of the Islamic countries that are ready to stand with us on the issue of Kashmir and support the oppressed Kashmiris.

Mr Qureshi said that if OIC fails to summon the CFM meeting, Pakistan would be ready to go for a session outside OIC. In response to another question, he said Pakistan could not wait any further.

Pakistan has been pushing for the foreign ministers’ meeting of the 57-member bloc of Muslim countries, which is the second largest intergovernmental body after the UN, since India annexed occupied Kashmir last August.

Mr Qureshi had at an earlier presser explained the importance of CFM for Pakistan. He had then said that it was needed to send a clear message from Ummah on the Kashmir issue.

Although there has been a meeting of the contact group on Kashmir on the sidelines of UN General Assembly session in New York since last August and OIC’s Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission has made statements on the rights abuses in the occupied valley, but no progress could be made towards the CFM meeting.

A major reason behind the failure to call the foreign ministers’ meeting has been Saudi Arabia’s reluctance to accept Pakistan’s request for one specifically on Kashmir. Riyadh’s support is crucial for any move at the OIC, which is dominated by Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries.

Mr Qureshi said Pakistan skipped Kuala Lumpur Summit last December on Saudi request and now Pakistani Muslims are demanding of Riyadh to “show leadership on the issue”.

We have our own sensitivities. You have to realise this. Gulf countries should understand this,” the foreign minister said, adding that he could no more indulge in diplomatic niceties.

Mr Qureshi made it clear that he was not being emotional and fully understood the implications of his statement. “It’s right, I’m taking a position despite our good ties with Saudi Arabia,” he said.

We cannot stay silent anymore on the sufferings of the Kashmiris,” he said.

Frustration in Islamabad over OIC’s inaction on Kashmir has been growing for months. Prime Minister Khan voiced his concern while speaking at a think-tank during his visit to Malaysia in February.

The reason is that we have no voice and there is a total division amongst [us]. We can’t even come together as a whole on the OIC meeting on Kashmir,” Mr Khan had said.

It should be recalled that Turkey, Malaysia and Iran had unequivocally rejected India’s annexation of Kashmir and voiced serious concerns on atrocities committed by Indian security forces on Kashmiris in the occupied valley.

The biggest blunder was skipping the Malaysian Conference many people told him not to skip it but knowing Pakistani establishment it listens to the useless ones first. Pakistan could’ve created a solid 2nd block and swayed majority of the Islamic World our way, weakening Saudi hold and eventually putting them under us, and tell’em straight up, you either toe our line or we remove the nuclear umbrella.

Cheap oil we could’ve gotten from Iran through smuggling, and loans from China ete. Often times following rules set by winners isn’t to give you the upper hand but to keep you down. Hope Pak Army realizes their mistake and correct this ASAP.

I don't think this taking sides approach is good for Pakistan, it has been a diplomatic nightmare for the last 70 years. There is a need to change this policy, not all countries will share the same view with regards regional and global issues. Therefore, managing matters diplomatically will be the most feasible option which will be a hard one as well.

Excellent, finally some backbone shown by Pakistan on this issue.

We messed up badly, and it has cost us. Malaysia will not be part of such an alliance in the future.

It will be only Turkey and Pakistan, plus their allies.

If Turkey and Pak can proceed on their current plans nothing else will be required. And, the fate of the Muslim world can be changed...

As for the others, they came with a wind (Imperialist intelligence agencies), and they'll be gone with the WIND....

Mr. Qureshi should appraise the parliament if he has credible evidence that Saudi Arabia ever stopped Pakistan from pursuing her Kashmir policy.

Nobody is seeking a Saudi fatwa to nuke India

Its not that simple as we think it is. IK skipping Malaysia meeting. u guys are forgetting where most of remittances are coming from and how much we are dependent on those. I dont blame IK for his decision nor the army, for we had or lets say still have very weak economically. If they pulled the plug on those billions at that time it would not have ended pretty for us. Now calling on China to foot the bill, not sure about tat. there is a limit you can push a friend for help. As they say in Punjabi " hath pharya see Kan---- naay baaaan hi phar laye" something like that (excuse my language) but it depicts the situation pretty well. Sorry
Now y Pakistan is suddenly acting all Macho is how things are turning up in our part of the world, with China and india drama and possible outcome of that. and to be honest those money pits (oil based Kings) are drying up quickly. now they really need us more than we need them. tables are turning if not already, tats y the macho macho stance.
I wish we never had morons like Sharifs or never dying Bhuttoz in power, we might have been Macho a long time bk. to be honest we r still not standing on solid ground to be acting macho but the current scenario is dictating the same. we are trying to ride the wave if u know wat i mean. Lets see where we end up.

Qurayshi Sahib is an Arabian man. His family comes from the land which is now Saudi Arabia, specially. Therefore he’s got claims to represent as an ambassador from Saudi Arabia.

Bro, i really like your ideas and way of thinking mostly the musalman unity and associated power with it. though never replied or commented on ur posts. but its kind of easy for turkey to proceed with the plans now (post 2023... game plan), its just that our hands are tied (financial aspect only), else we would have shown wat we are made up of. In sha Allah, we will soon see some stability financially and the show will start. I strongly believe, our time is coming. Its near very near. Much is gonna change soon and we will play our part in the bigger game.

This is all for public consumption as yesterday was august 5....this hypocrite will not talk about kashmir until.next aug 5th again.
Imran khan proved to be bigger hypocrite and cheat than nawaz and bhuttos..this fellow khan has all such corrupt people (like this qureshi)around him.
By ur logic, IK should have been a hero in India, whereas its the opposite. i wonder y? haven't sent sarisss and mangoes. :dance3:
