Pakistan warns India: don't make provocative remarks

1965 war started with Pakistani invasion of Kashmir under Operation Grand Slam and Operation Gibraltar. In order to save Kashmir and to ease pressure in Akhnoor sector, India on 6th September crossed international border. Remember the objective was not to capture Lahore but to force Pakistan to withdraw some of its force from Akhnoor sector and redeploy them in Lahore sector. Pakistan in order to ease pressure in Lahore sector crossed IB and attacked India in Khemkaran sector. All this ended in a stalemate. Pakistan which initiated the conflict failed to meet its objective and India was successfully able to defend Kashmir.

Here is an interview of PAF Air Marshal Asghar Khan. He clearly says that Indian attack on Lahore was in reaction to Pakistani attack on Indian Kashmir.

@GumNaam Sir Have to add sth about it...

.
Hey, just try asking!! You will be surprised!! :)

Dear Sir.

There are quite a few members here, from Pakistan and elsewhere, for example the member from Pakistan, who I refused to engage, for the mere fact of him being a gentleman (and those who understand the context, will know what I refer to), who can tell me anything and I shall simply give a liner and move about my business. Or, if they are as chatty as I am, chat away with.

You, have all the privileges to check me. In fact, @Signalian did intervene in morning, alas the factor J of my brain picked on the hint later.

You think not, the history books and articles think yes. These are known facts dear, some of our equipment was caught by Indians in different sectors, whats so surprising in it. The guns, the tanks, its real!! I guess it not that simple and easy in heat of war.

Oh that I know. Point was a slightly different one - that it is very easy to re-write history and discredit everything. Can someone post a counter on these photographs not being Pakistani attempts at Propaganda for self consumption? Would it not be a matter of moral courage, to post photographs which are actually correct when claiming something?

For example: Let me throw another non-sense out, the photograph of men lined up against the backdrop of the Centurion? All have dark shade of uniform and last I remember that PA uses khakhi ;) But then, I also know, that the instances of capture of equipment did take place. Why do you think I tagged number 4 photograph of the SPG? :D And name the unit you raised?

Well actually i was not a MOD back then so i really cannot say what happened. But the two guys you named here, well you know as well as i do that they do not come more neutral than that!! You know, you have experience on other forums as well.

AND as far as i know, that Dhara character was banned soon after you made your case.

What happened, you can ask @The Eagle ... or check in backend for the records. I do not have access to what precisely happened. But I stayed banned for a month, because of the reason mentioned.

Anyways, I think these will be my last words on this.

Dhara is banned
Regards

Thanks for the ban of one month you put me alongwith that ;)

Sorry, but I do grouse that one.

Nissan Jonga, not Jeep.

However, pictures on display (not having seen the original exhibit) show a Jeep - either Harbaksh was misinformed, or there was some creative re-construction.

That, is something that escapes the 'wannabes' here ;)

https://indianexpress.com/article/india/india-others/amarinder-india-almost-lost-amritsar-in-65-war/

But did we lose Amritsar?
What Capt. Amrinder Singh says is that after capturing Khemkaran Pakistan could have captured Amritsar but due to action taken by Lt. Gen. Harbaksh Singh Pakistan forces advancing towards Amritsar were completely decimated at Asal Uttar and were driven out of Khemkaran 3 days later.

Battle of Asal Uttar:

Here is the picture of abandoned Pakistani tanks of 1st Armoured division which were moving towards Amritsar, before they came in contact with 4th mountain Division of india:

None of our general said that we destroyed 500 Pakistani tanks. 98 Pakistani tanks were either destroyed or were abandoned by Pakistani soldiers after they got trapped in the swamps.
It doesn't matter now does it? The point is that at the end of the war, Pakistan was deep inside india's bunghole from kashmir to amritsar all the way to rajasthan...

There is a reason why your urine drinking prime minister shastri went running to the un begging for a cease fire and then died right after!

Pakistanis will never forgive Ayub Khan for letting americans manipulate him and give back all the conquered indian territory back to india, especially when China was willing to not only supply arms to Pakistan but was also willing to open a second front and enter india from the north.

Stop listening to your door darshan samachar that only feeds you cow dung, you owe a great debt of gratitude to Ayub Khan... he was too pro american and went too easy on your bungholes!

LOL....So a soldier shoots himself because he afraid of being being shot by someone else. Hats off to your logic. :omghaha:
Uhm, such is the logic of your own indian soldiers afraid of being sent to the loc.

My Dear Sir.

When a professional of the Pakistani side, well respected by those who know of him, across political lines, failed to convey the message, as his subsequent reply indicates, what makes you think that you have any hope?

LOL........... Pakistan was driven out of Khemkaran and Kishangarh 3 days later. First of all no one went running to UN asking for ceasefire. Offer for ceasefire was made by The Soviet Union, led by Premier Alexie Kosigin and Pakistan was first one to accept ceasefire followed by India a day later. Also Americans were not the part of ceasefire negotiation as they took place in Tashkent which was in Soviet Union. BTW who told you that Shashtri used to drink urine..LOL..

Former ISI chief Mehmud Ahmed Durrani had written a well researched book titled "Myth of 1965 victory". All copies of the book were bought by Pakistan army on order from Musharraf as the book thoroughly exposed lies peddled by Pakistani Army and state controlled media. Highly edited version of the book with revised title "History of India Pak war of 1965" was later published and was released market.

:omghaha: you couldn't drive us out of anywhere. We gave it back to you due to the cease fire agreement. You can post indian door darshan samachar tirshul phrishul maps all you want and it won't change the reality that WE handed you your bungholes on a platter! the 1965 war is considered as a stalemate by historians only because Ayub Khan bought into the american bullcrap by agreeing to a ceasefire and returning to the original borders. Had he gone with what China wanted, i.e. opening the northern front in the war, india could've been rhe size of bhutan today! oh and by the way, bbc is hardly a neutral source...the british are still sour about the humiliation their aircrafts and tanks used by rubber inept indians received in 1965 at the hands of a force 5 times smaller than india's. same with russlan sources, they aren't too happy about the fact the inept indians couldn't even manage to make the latest mig21 airborne and most were destroyed on the ground. pathetic indians...stick with kamasutra, your dna isn't cut out for war! 8-)

You need to learn some history lessons. Town of Khemkaran was liberated before ceasefire although Pakistan continued to occupy some area abound Khemkaran.

the final nail in the coffin of your ill conceived lies to hide your shameful defeat was when Pakistan entered rajhasthan and took over the kishanghar fort...your shastri had no forces left to stop Pakistan...india only had a few camel riding bsf platoons and 3 tanks, all three of whom where captured. even the indian door darshan samachar can't rebuke this fact that india had no one to stop Pakistan in that theatre. understandable why shastri ran to the un begging for a ceasefire... :coffee:

none the less, I'm not surprised at the typical indian crooked tactic of being slick and switching the 18s with 19s with their own so called "evidence" of p!ss poor indian journalishm. The fact is that we withdrew due to the ceasefire...which we're shouldn't have. that is your ONLY saving grace.

WE won't be as nice in the next one. 8-)

Wanted...LOL....In 1965 China "Wanted" to help pakistan, in 1971 they again wanted to help Pakistan along with US,UK and Iran but the reality is that they never helped Pakistan and Auyb Khan was a chutiya to accept ceasefire agreement in order to weaken his position as a leader and to instigate Students riot against government of Pakistan.

China during 1965 war had asked India to withdraw from Nathu La but India resisted and deployed additional troops and artillery in nearby areas. Deployment of additional troops was noticed on Chinese side as well. It culminated into a brief conflict in 1967 in Nathu La and Cho La.

You withdrew after Battle of Asal Uttar in Khemkaran sector.

War historians, including Dr. Philip Towle, regard the Indian resistance near Khem Karan as one of the key turning points of the war, one which tilted the balance of the war in favour of India.
