Pakistan Urges US to Refrain From Attacking Iran

All of that is okay too. After all, Iran has the right to pursue its own national interests just the same as any other country. But, the better players win in this never-ending game of international geopolitics.
Iran is fueling Shia-Sunni strife across the Middle East; lanat on this kind of foreign policy. National Interests ka yeh matlab nahin hota key doosrey mulkon mein militias create kartey phirein.

What about us foreign policy in the region.
Afghanistan
Iraq
Syria
Libya
Palestine
What about Salafi Jihadism and its implications? Do you realize how much trouble Saddam Hussein and Operation Cyclone have created for the Islamic bloc at large? And what is the difference between US and Iran then? US is working with governments nevertheless, and not creating militias.

No point in picking sides here.

It all depends on who defines the national interest for any country. The Iranian theocratic regime obviously thinks that what they are doing serves their interests the best. They have that right, of course. They are also responsible for the consequences. No problem here.

Hello hold your horses man what is this salafi jihadism?
Jihad is a part of Islam. You white punks have learned this word and then you start your propaganda and how are salafi jihadis?
Why are you giving wrong context to the word jihad?
ISIS are not salafis but Israeli Zionist and American KKKK and Indian RSS.
Salafism is a sect of Islam and they are not extremists.
You ISIS apologist stop spreading hate here.

Name a single terrorist organisation USA has not worked with.

Iranian efforts to encircle Israel and create militias in other countries, is a complete misdirection. Iran regime supply weapons and money to its militias across the Middle East in order to keep them afloat,

I don't deny that Iran's issues are because of the direction it took post 1979: The zeal of a Mullah Revolution. Iran is too deep in that mess now. The militias are a safeguard to prevent an attack on Iran: The Militias, by majorly damaging Israel, are the deterrence for an attack on Iran. This was essentially an Iranian choice, just as the stupid Afghans tried to impose the Communist Saur Revolution in the 1970s in an agrarian, deeply Islamic country.

Having said that: As I said in my post above: The policy of Obama/Kerry vs the policy of Trump clearly tells me that the Lobbies are undermining America's interests much to the detriment of ordinary Americans. I stand by what I had said above. There's no rational explanation for Trump's undoing the years-long hard work done by Obama/Kerry except for the influence of Lobbies!!

I feel pain for anyone who is a innocent bystander be it irani or not. Why are you so war hungry? Does my sitting in britain mean I loose my moral compass?

So what Zia did was wrong? How?

If it wasn't for Zia you would be speaking Russia both in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Zia ul Haq is the most brave, courageous and confident military chief pakistan has ever produced in its history. I know his political side is very controversial but I don't care about it. Pakistanis were the most war loving people until 80s. Then the BS of aman ki asha came and has made everyone scared of wars through their aman ki asha media propaganda. We used to celebrate wars until 80s in Pakistan on state level.

What Zia did was a necessity and he made sure that freedom of Pakistan remained intact he acted in the interest of defending country. War is a dirty business and it was not waged by Zia but he was a defender in it and he defeated Soviets a then Super power.

Zia political role is a totally different ball game but he did great with his military career.

No more wars! Freaking 2 decades of Pakistan's growth and development was lost because USA got stupid in Afghanistan. Pakistan cannot afford another insane decision by anyone.

Stop the offender with force.

I wish we could.

It's amazing the number of times a poster has ranted about me 'living in England'. Apparently, this affects the logic of the argument! :dance3:

As such the US has some private wars running on the backs of such “Jihadis”; but has decided to move onto nationalism in the middle east as a better strategy than religion.

The problem with Iran is that it’s essentially the key influencer in the ME/Central Asia region and always has been. Which means that every major power wants it in their camp which is why it keeps teetering from one camp to another(British to US to Russia) while it has its own regional rivalries with the Arabs.

The Syrian civil war was the turning point as the paid thugs ISIS who were going to try and break the two primary neighbors to Israel had other players come in via the splinter groups of AQ iraq sponsored by GCC trying to hold the oil and key strategic areas .. then after Iran tried to stabilize the regimes it works with in conjunction with Russia the GCC it decided to try and hit back in Yemen with the Houthis.
That is the Saudi backyard so it wasn’t going to be tolerated although they went in without a battleplan and paid heavily for it along with the population of Yemen.

Right now, the only way this ends good for Iran is if they withdraw from Yemen entirely; that will have the nervousness of the GCC subside a little and them being less than inclined to go to war.

As such, despite the impression to the contrary; Arab or Iranian leadership aren’t looking for open conflict as a method to get into an advantageous position as much as they both like to brag about it ( that is the domain of the Israeli .. both in geopolitics and in corporate life as well).
