Pakistan Urges US to Refrain From Attacking Iran

The situation in the region escalated last week after acting US Defence Secretary Patrick Shanahan ordered the deployment of the USS Arlington, a San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock, and additional MIM-104 Patriot missile defence systems to the US Central Command (CENTCOM) region.

Pakistani authorities said on Sunday that they had notified the United States that Pakistan was against any attack on Iran, as such an act would be "destructive for the regional peace".

A senior official in the Pakistani Foreign Ministry told The Nation outlet that "the US claims Iran is intensifying tension".

At the same time, according to another official, Pakistan has contacted Iran as well, urging it to restraint to ensure peace.

Tensions between Iran and the US reached a new level after Washington enlisted the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organisation earlier this year, with Iran doing the same to the US Central Command.

Later on, US National Security Adviser John Bolton announced that the US was deploying the USS Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group and a bomber task force near Iran in a move to send "a clear and unmistakable message to the Iranian regime that any attack on US interests or on those of our allies will be met with unrelenting force".

Responding to the claims, Tehran said that it posed no threat to the US, adding that Washington's allegations were based on "fake intelligence". According to Iran's Supreme National Security Council spokesman Keivan Khosravi, Bolton's statement was "a clumsy use of an out-of-date event for psychological warfare".

Imran Khan is right, sometime mistake cause huge loss. Region has enough fight and it need peace. Pakistan already facing financial disaster and trying to attract the investors. If any war breaks out then we have lot to lose.

Pakistan cannot fight a war with US in Iran; just look at Pakistan's economic situation and additional set of vulnerabilities.

Pakistan Leaders know once Iran is destroyed, It will be replaced with a Pro US, Pro Israel Iran that will be anti Russia, Anti China and Anti Pakistan.
The Effects will be:
-Russia and China Lose another ally in the mideast.
-China loses its belt and road route through Iran
-Iran will only sell its oil and gas in US dollars, hence russia and china will not be able to break the US dollar dominance
-US gains a new route into afghanistan through Iran, Pakistan will no longer be needed, they will be finally able to Sanction Pakistan
-Iranian Gas Pipeline will finally be built towards Europe, ending Russian energy dominance over europe, lowering Russia revenues hence weakening China strongest ally.
-Relationship between new pro US/Israel Iran and Pro US India will go towards alliance.
-Pakistan will be surrounded by 3 sides.


Iran isnt perfect, but a US puppet Iran will have disastrous Geopolitical consequences for China,Russia,Pakistan
And a positive impact for India US alliance against China and Pakistan

That's a lot of "if" and "when".
They are yet to subjugate the Taliban and use Afghanistan for extracting any benefits apart from creating a mess in Pakistan.
Check what happened in Syria and now multiply that by a 10. Iran is no easy game, they have proxies allover the place and if Iran gets bombed then the whole middleeast might just become a battlezone as well.
