What about these as a joint production...
we see this tank today because of incoming election, there is no serious development on tank, german powerpack replaced by korean one and tests will take 2 years, BMC powerpack will be ready in 2025 and then we test it may be 2 more years, basically tank is not ready yet but showing a monster to public is good for politicians.

What about these as a joint production...
Turkey can't even produce it yet, because of the corruption of our politicians and incompetence of a company called BMC that should never have been given this contract in the first place.

It's safe to assume that Pakistan would be one of the countries to get this tank but alas... it might even be cancelled.

T929 ATAK-II UPDATE

"According to SavunmaSanayiST.com, Ukraine has delivered to Turkey two out of fourteen engines of the T929 heavy attack helicopter, also known as ATAK-II.
The engines are model TV3-117VMA-SBM1V-01T

Within the framework of the agreement with the Ukrainian company “Motor Sich,” 14 engines for ATAK-II will be delivered. According to the plans, the 14 engines should be delivered by the end of 2025.

The war in Ukraine and the need for time to move much of Ukraine’s military manufacturing complex overseas delayed deliveries."

------------------------------------------------------------

The First ATAK-II prototype named T0, after successful Engine integration , is now under extensive ground testing.
Its scheduled to to start Flight tests by end of March 2023.

This engine is intended for new helicopters and for retrofitting the in-service helicopters.

It maintains the propulsion power under high and hot conditions to higher ambient temperature as compared to the TV3-117 engine early modifications, which improves significantly the performance of helicopters. The engine automatic control system permits to set the takeoff power within the range of 2,000 to 2,500 hp (depending on the engine application). All engine versions provide 2,800 hp in the contingency power condition.

The engine guarantees the retention of high flight performance of helicopters even if they are equipped with high-efficiency dust-protecting and exhaust-shielding devices.

Main advantages of the engine:

  • high reliability;
  • increased power maintained in hot and high conditions;
  • low SFC;
  • long service life;
  • easy in-service maintenance;
  • high repairability;
  • stable operation under conditions of heavy smoke and dust;
  • capability of long operation under maritime conditions;
  • low cost of life cycle;
  • interchangeability with early TV3-117 family engine versions.
