Pakistan Turkey Defence Production Updates

its a very important relationship and really 2022-2030 is a very important part of the decade

Turkey should by the end master the Turbofan and high bypass engines

also master the micro chip industry

both Turkey and Pakistan must work together to achieve near parity with the West by end of this decade

for Pakistan they must have deployed a nuclear capable submarine to ensure continuous at sea deterrence

and also stop relying on the West for high end equipment

Parity is possible around 2034-2035

The Turkish state-run aid agency will be starting almost 50 new projects in Pakistan in 2022 to help with the development of education, health, and agriculture.

Muhsin Balci, the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency's (TIKA) programme coordinator for Pakistan, made the announcement for TIKA’s 30th anniversary.

After the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, many countries in Central Asia declared independence.

This led Turkiye to devote aid efforts to Turkic-speaking countries in Central Asia and helping the newly formed countries in various social, economic, and cultural endeavors.

To help meet that demand, TIKA was established in 1992.

Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) signed a cooperation agreement with Pakistan's Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) on Wednesday to develop space and satellite projects.
Turkish defense giant TAI and SUPARCO will carry out joint studies on electric communication satellites and other space projects within the scope of the agreement.
"We have signed a cooperation deal with the SUPARCO to develop satellite projects. We wish good luck for the two countries,” said TAI in a statement on Twitter.
In Dec. 2019, TAI opened its first office in Pakistan at the country's National Science and Technology Park.

Speaking at the Satellite Technologies Week held in December, TAI CEO Temel Kotil said that they are looking for new customers for the SmallGEO satellite, a telecommunications satellite platform that works with an electric propulsion system.
“It looks like we found a customer, but we don't share it because it has not been finalized. If it does, we will build three more satellites. A fourth customer also showed up. When these are finalized, we will reach five satellites in total,” said Kotil, adding that if TAI made these satellites in three or four years, Turkey would be able to achieve a good figure in satellite exports.
Turkey inked its first satellite export deal with an Argentinian company in August at the International Defense Industries Fair (IDEF) held in Istanbul.
Recently, TAI also signed a memorandum of understanding on space and satellite systems with El Salvador during President Nayib Bukele's Turkey visit last week.

Hurjet @TAI

Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) will fully unveil Hürjet advanced jet trainer and light attack aircraft in two months.

TAI head Temel Kotil told Daily Sabah that the company will build six to seven aircraft in the first year in the mass production phase. “We aim to produce two aircraft per month and 24 aircraft per year from the next year. After 2025, two Hürjets will leave the hangar and will be delivered to the customer every month,” he said.

Turkey’s Defense Industry Executive Committee last week approved the first-phase mass production of the Hürjet.

Turkey is developing a mini-attack submarine to operate in near-shore waters and may export it in the global arms market. Experts say this type of submarine could become a “game changer” in the future of undersea warfare.

Despite their smaller size and shorter range than conventional submarines, the mini-submarine that Turkey is building is extremely effective for close-to-shore operations, where its noise is easily disturbed. mixed with the sound of ordinary ships.

Starting production this year, the mini-submarine STM500 will become the smallest ship that Turkey has ever built. It weighs 549 tons, is 42 meters long and 8.5 meters wide. The ship can travel at a maximum speed of 18 knots, a cruise speed of 5 knots, and can dive to a depth of 250m.
This mini-submarine can go as far as 3,500 nautical miles with a diesel engine and 75 nautical miles on a battery.

The vessel can be equipped with an optional air-independent propulsion (AIP) system, which, when combined with the diesel engine, will provide a range of 4,000 km.

The ship can be fitted with a variety of sonars, opto-electronic periscopes and antennas to support electronic warfare.

The space in the ship is enough for 18 sailors and a task force of 6 members, can stay underwater for 30 days and carry 4 torpedo tubes, 8 heavy torpedoes or cruise missiles.

According to experts, Turkey’s mini-submarine program can be useful for the country to balance its power with Russia in the Black Sea and become a tool to realize its larger ambitions.

Currently, Turkey, along with Romania and Bulgaria, are three NATO members that can legally deploy submarines to the Black Sea. Article 12 of the Montreux Convention prohibits non-Black Sea states from sending submarines to this area.

Russia’s Black Sea Fleet has six Kilo-class submarines. As a result, Turkey is the only member of NATO that can monitor Russia’s naval deployment from the Black Sea into the Mediterranean.

Mini-submarines can also become an attractive option for countries that want to meet NATO standards but lack the budget to buy American and Western weapons and equipment, such as Ukraine , Pakistan.

Anka is an Turkish origin Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) designed and manufactured by Turkish Aerospace. It belongs to the MALE (Medium Altitude Long Endurance) category of UAVs. It has a maximum flying endurance of more then 30 hours and can fly at an altitude of 30 thousand feet. It can carry a payload of 350 kilograms and has a maximum take off weight (MTOW) of 1700 kilograms.

Well, talking about its dimensions, it’s wing span is about 17.5 meters and this UAV has a height of 3.25 m and length 8.6 meters.

The Turkish Air Force has been using the Anka unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) since 2017. ANKA UAV was developed by Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) to satisfy the Turkish Armed Forces’ reconnaissance, surveillance, target recognition, and detection objectives.

An identification friend or foe (IFF) system, laser designator, laser finder, and armament payloads such as Rokestan smart micro munition (MAM-L), air-launched missile launcher, and laser-guided CIRIT 2.75in rocket are among the 350 kg payload it can carry.

Pakistan’s NESCOM also signed contract for the joint development of ANKA UAV in Pakistan. As per janes,

Pakistan will manufacture different parts of ANKA UAV. ANKA Block A and Block B are initial variants while ANKA-S is the serial production variant. It features Aselsan Common Aperture Targeting System (CATS), satellite communications for beyond-line-of-sight operations, and secure communications, among other things.

ANKA-S is powered by a PD170 turboprop engine which is manufactured by Turkish Engine Industries.

Thankfully it was Omicron and not delta and both are vaccinated - so they should be ok.
