PAKISTAN too good for minorities| a social experiment

Who would have done the job if not the West? They won the War and did what was needed. Same should have been done after the Cold War was over. Yes it is a Western Monopoly and there should be inclusive participation, except that most other countries are busy persecuting minorities and vulnerable groups even today.

The way I see it, while there is a certain degree of hypocrisy in Western action, at least they can say today that they don't do these things anymore. You will hardly find any American who extols the virtues of having wiped out the Injuns or Australian who thinks that killing the Aborigine was not a big deal, nor are the Spanish particularly chirpy about the Inquisition. Contrast that with the attitude you see in South Asia, Russia or China, the ambivalence or outright denial of what entire classes of society have been subject to in these countries.

Will these countries sit on a possible Tribunal for Crimes against Humanity?

As long as it remains a monopoly, minorities will be 'oppressed'.
Its simple Catch 22

Fair enough. But then the initiative must come from the other countries themselves. Having something called the Cairo Declaration on Human Rights in Islam that derogates from the Universal Declaration doesn't help. Becomes quite difficult to reconcile the differences. In other words, to become equal participants in the process, one has to stop holding oneself to a different standard.

Anyone who points this out is a neocon like Samuel Huntington. Talk about having the cake and eating it too.

An imaginary cake only ever fulfilled an imaginary hunger.

As long as either of the two parties remain stubborn expect this to continue.

The third party who reaps the benefit well its sitting pretty so please do continue

Whoever inherits the world inherits all if it. Today the West is in the cross-hairs because they tend to take the leadership on all things. Suppose they back out, what will happen?

There is at least one nation that wants to replace US hegemony. How to look at an erratic President who sometimes sends out signals of self-imposed isolation? If the US were to really withdraw, then the job would fall on someone else. Nothing short of totally re-drawing the UNSC and its mandate would allow any single country to externalize the cost of its economic footprint. The ire that US faces today would be diverted in their direction. And if I know anything about how countries like Russia and China will deal with the situation, the result will not be pretty.

Just adding my unnecessary two bits here :p
For people thinking this is all for show , I'd like to give my interactions with our minorities, and in general , opinion of our people, i guess. Well , i was born in Hyderabad (Since Father is in Army + my family is from Northern Punjab). I asked my Dad that there must be A lot of Hindus in Hyderabad, What were they like? ( i was just testing what he thought of them) And he replied that even though i have just seen them from a far, They weren't that different, they were kinda like us , we couldn't tell the difference between them and us.

As for my experience, well , i just recently came to know that our Driver Uncle is a christian. We were just talking about how my day went , then he started talking about his son and about going to church. I was surprised , and asked him , Are you a christian? He replied yes. Then we went on about talking about our religions, and well surprise surprise, the way he follows his religion , Christianity, is Very different from the way Christians in western countries do.
I always thought that he was a Muslim .He also told me that all the other Christians in this area prayed for Pakistan's Win in the recent IND vs PAK match :D. I told him that i don't judge him based on his religion and that you are a Patriotic Pakistani , and that is all that matters. When i got home and told my mother about this, she started scolding me, worrying that i might've said something that could've offended our driver.
I don't know why people think we are bad towards our minorities,I've had Shia friends too.

Also , i have never seen anyone acting Bad towards non muslims here, and one time , we lived next to a christian family who were serving in PAF. Too bad i didn't get to talk much with them. Also , i have seen a Church School for christians in Lahore too.

(Personally , i really like meeting people from other religions, makes me want to learn more about them, heck even if i meet a Pakistani Jew, i would automatically try befriending them, so intriguing!)

This is scripted AF. You can tell it's scripted from the body language of the people who "intervene", look closely and half of them are laughing. The rest say perfectly choreographed lines that are similar to each other across all the clips.

If it isn't, try this with a guy pretending to be Ahmadi. Then let's see what the reaction is.

(Hint: I already know since I've faced worse reactions from people than what this scripted video shows when I've told them I am an Ahmadi.)

Instead of spreading misinformation to please westerners and others, try to educate the masses here who start baying for blood over little differences.

I honestly can't even believe that being on the internet you people are falling for this shit. 100% of the "social experiments" on YouTube are fake and are made just to push a persons personal opinion. They don't prove jack and similarly nor does the "but the constitution protects all citizens" bs. UNTIL YOU SEE IT YOURSELF AND IN PRACTICE, it doesn't prove anything. You can say we are too good for minorities when we stop bullzdozing Hindu temples, stop treating Christians as second hand citizens and stop putting up signs in our marketplaces barring Ahmedis to shop from there

Ahmedis were my neighbors, they lived with all freedom, until they migrated quietly to UK and Canada!
All you are talking is BS.

Mate, you must live in some posh part of town. Come out of your middle class suburbs and see how it is amongst the lower classes. I don't need to talk BS, I love Pakistan and accept that majority of the people are tolerant and accepting. But glossing over the ones who aren't through this scripted "experiments" does nothing in changing the minds of those who are intolerant.

Good to know.

It will be great if Pakistan amends it's law which makes it illegal for non Muslims to become a President, PM or army chief. I hope Pakistan becomes inclusive to all of her citizens. All the best.

That shall never happen. Pakistan is not a secular country, it is an Islamic country. The Islamic rules of governance state that the head of state must always be a Muslim. Non Muslims can hold any other role.

This idea that Pakistan is good to minorities is as manufactured as the idea that a genocide of minorities is happening here. The truth is minorities experience in Pakistan will differ based on their own socioeconomic background and the cultural values of the people they interact with.

"Until they migrated". Wonder why that happened.
What was the basis of their claims in UK, which won them UK nationality?
FYI, once they left, there homes were occupied by more Ahmedis from rural areas, until we left out of city center.
I'm sure their mosque at Napier road is still in operation. As a child, I went there to break fast, until I realize they are praying in different way :)

Dedicated to all of minorities, specially to THE genocide brigade.

Oh my God, have a look at the comment section. Hindu nationalists going batshit crazy. Sometimes the comments are more entertaining than the video itself.

But I've found the best comment anyway.

Merhaba/Hello from Turkey. That's my Pakistan! This video made me very happy. Contrary to what many people think Pakistan as a country, society and nation is open minded and tolerant and this video is a solid proof of that. Besides, it's the duty of every single Pakistani citizen to act according to the principles of Kaydi Azam Muhammet Ali Cinnah (one of the greatest leaders of the last century). Hopefully, one day I will visit my beautiful Pakistan and become friends with many Pakistanis. I love you guys regardless of your political/religious affiliations. You will always have a special place in my heart. The people of Pakistan deserve a life full of opportunities. Never forget: There is no power on earth that can undo Pakistan. - Muhammet Ali Cinnah I'm praying for your wellbeing. Greetings from Turkey, Kemal Türkoğlu

Suddenly your title seems to contradict what you're saying.....
There's literally no running around it. When say Pakistan is an Islamic country that automatically makes minorities second hand citizens.
