What's new

Pakistan to remain in FATF grey list till February.

Brother if pakistan really takes action on teeror funding ,indians will be the first ones to be happy as we are the victims of the terrorism that is originating from pakistan...a complete shut down on terrorists and their funding is good for both countries..of course you may call them mujahids or freedom fighters or whatever but for world they are terrorists..
You yourself are the biggest terrorists in this region. Exporting terrorism to Sri Lanka and Pakistan, bullying your small neighbours and the history of extremism, stop it and then we will be the first ones to make you happy.

I am really sorry but you are quoting a person that doesn't appreciate the sugar coated tantrums. Had it been the merit by FATF; I am sure you have lot of skeletons to ditch and India would have been in the same list like Pakistan but just because, this side is not a huge market nor can afford a lot of lobbies as well as conspiracy spending; Pakistan is being hammered having a political tool called FATF. If Indian case was that much stronger; we have more enemies than friends and Pakistan would have been long into blacklist. This terror originating tantrum is too old and just think and read KJ that in-fact, those terrorists are Indian heroes as long as they harm Pakistan. Aslam Achoo, the main culprit of Chinese Consulate attack in Karachi was having a nice candid camera sessions inside an Indian Hospital.... I mean, the series is unlimited but only Pakistan is being hammered due to our own mishandling but that doesn't make you so innocent.... Samjhota Express, Melagaon Blasts and many more are your own haunting but doesn't seems to be evil because it was India who did it.... Isn't that a shameless act to blame others and pretend to be so innocent.

Stay out of the topic..
Nothing more than a political tool.

Interestingly, most of transactions are being done by political corrupt lot or money launderers that doesn't have trail hence, suspicion raised by FATF type organization that too when alarmed by no one else but India. Why can't one can see that those who have been supported by Delhi by way of business & personal gains; can also provide enough fuel to a man like Modi against Pakistan Establishment. Money without justification is being treated under Terror Financing as well and therefore, we are seeing a lot of efforts in regard to money laundering punishment & NAB cases where Indian Establishment try to prove that Pakistan was actually funding some sort of Terrorists in reality which is not the case at all. If this is the merit; all the anti terror champions have everything as how buckets of money being poured in Kabul to support anti Pakistan elements and then the business means were used through Iran against Pakistan in Balochistan & Karachi.

Lol look at the delight on knowing Pakistan is staying in grey list. Sure India didn't get to put Pakistan in black list. But do you even know what being in grey list means?

The government has calculated that Pakistan will face USD 10 billion loss annually if it remains in the 'grey list'. This is said by your own Foreign Minister Qureshi.

Now please celebrate it by all means. Lol

wrong

You have been desperate to put us on the black for your own sinister political agenda... PM Imran state is on record at UNGA speech...

of course we are going to celebrate you lost as usual.

I understand India media is mostly BS, but does it mean grey list is new gold standard?

mostly?

or

all

Are people here seriously celebrating staying on the Grey list and being told to do more ? :disagree::lol:

you claimed you can black list us any time..

what happened?

like surgical strike flop?... F-16 wet dream stories?

All the people who are cheering for staying in grey list must know that, China is heading the APG group and yet they couldnt get out of it. How much more help do they need. And you need only 3 to not get blacklisted. One would assume China could have got them out, but even they dont want to mess up their image if Pakistan isnt well complied.

To get out of the grey list you need to either fulfill the criterion or get support of 15 states. The first 3 was easy, the next 12 is kinda hard.

It’s the Chinese President that is calling for Pakistan to do more. Doubtful they will continue to bail out Pakistan much longer in this domain. It risks making them look poor and they are particularly vulnerable at the moment and won’t want their image harmed more.

FATF is good for Pakistan. Contrary to Bharatis belief that it will end terrorism in India. That will only happen once Modi regime end oppressing people.

full marks to khan on foreign policy but zero marks in economic front as khan govt need to improve itself economically
KASHMIR WAPIS AY GYA HY KY????????? FULL MARKS FOR 2 COWARDS OF PAKISTAN.

The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) has decided in principle that Pakistan will remain on its grey list till next February and directed Islamabad to take ‘extra measures’ for ‘complete’ elimination of terror financing and money laundering.

An FATF meeting in Paris on Tuesday reviewed the measures that Islamabad has already taken to control money laundering and terror financing. However, the meeting observed that Islamabad will have to take further steps in these four months.

As a massive blow to Indian lobby’s attempts, the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) has decided not to put Pakistan on its ‘blacklist.’ The global financial watchdog announced this on Friday at the conclusion of its annual meeting in Paris.

The financial task force expressed satisfaction on the country’s compliance report and awarded four more months to fully implement the anti-terror-financing measures

The Paris meeting appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in controlling money laundering in the country. However, it felt that there was still a lot to be desired in the field of terror financing.

The FATF statement said:

Pakistan has made progress towards improving its AML/CFT regime, including the recent development of its money laundering/terror financing risk assessment.

On Pakistan’s request, the intergovernmental body allotted the country a four-month respiratory period. Pakistan will remain on the ‘grey list’ till February 2020.

“The FATF urges Pakistan to swiftly complete its full action plan by February 2020. Otherwise, should significant and sustainable progress not be made across the full range of its action plan by the next Plenary, the FATF will take action,” it added.

During the meeting, friendly countries, including China, Turkey, and Malaysia, voted in favor of Pakistan, which helped the country in avoiding the FATF blacklist.

The development has struck down all Indian efforts to get Pakistan into the blacklist.

Pakistan avoids terror financing blacklist ... for now

Thats the title from Al-Jazeera.

Pakistan needs to overhaul its Banking System.
It will help alot the Pakistani State itself and especially the Lower and middle class.

Pakistan needs to lower the flow cash and switch to Mobile or online Banking, With Newer mobile, i really dont get it why i dont see any major push from any of the Pakistani previous and current Govs.

Using Banks will help them grow which can be used in investing smaller starts ups.
Easier Money Trail for all the Govs especially for NAB.
Even people keep less Cash, it will directly lower the crime rate and create new tons of new jobs & improve foreign investment on a smaller scale.
