i was trying to open your eyes, not those of PAF.

Diversity does not mean using aircraft from different countries. Please revisit your definition of diversity.
JF17s Block3 is a much more capable aircraft. Just try to manufacture as many as possible ASAP. Latest chinese stuff is better than obsolete western stuff.

Yes latest Chinese stuff is better than obsolete stuff from ANYWHERE. The fact is, Mirage 2000-5/9s are not obsolete. And countries maintain diversity of suppliers ... different blocks of JF-17s does not count as diversity.

. . .
to replace the Aging Mirage III/V , buying them M2k's even in small numbers will be beneficial for PAF as they will bring a very good strike package , and the infrastructure is there to maintain and support them , rather than purchasing J-10'C Mirage will/can save a lot bucks for PAF which we are already short of .

there is little in common between Mirage-2000 and Mirage III/V

It won’t be much different. If we are really looking to add Mirage 2000 then we have some options.

UAE has 67 mirage-2000 (including 32 Mirage 2000-9)
Qatar 12 Mirage 2000
brazil has 12 Mirage 2000c/b
France 18 Mirage 2000-5 (for sale)

Without a doubt J-10C is very capable platform but it will be costly and it will required more investment to setup, support and training compare to mirage 2000-9.

We need to replace F-7 (139 in inventory) and 160 Mirage iii/v before 2025. I hope another Squadron of JF-17 Block 2 will be ready by the end of this year which can replace one F-7 Squadron.

UAE Mirage-2000 are not available. they have decided to upgrade them

Not sure if anyone pushed the panic button in PAF but it seems that PAF is concerned about the gap between IAF and PAF.

250+ older planes need to be replaced by or before 2025 and options are limited.
Mirage 2000, Surplus F-16s, SU-35, J-10C, J-11/16?

Russia would sell the Su-35. Not sure who foots the bill here ?
China might sell the J-10s
you have J-31 if it is ready

This is very unlikely to happen. There is no business case for buying only handfull of M2000. We have already invested so much in M-III & V. Buying M-III & V would only make sense. And I believe a deal has already been signed with Egypt in this regard.

does anyone other PAF even operate mirage iii and mirage-5 anymore ?

We need to Double the yearly production of JF-17.

Ummm, no. Only Pakistan. We recently bought retired mirages from Argentina and used them as spares. We'll do the same with Egyptian mirages as well, i believe. I may be wrong but that appears to be the most likely case.

Trying to open my eyes... Thanks but I was already in uniform when you were still in liquid form. LOL
I dont know your age so i wont comment on who was when in liquid form or otherwise but remember age will not bring you wisdom if the majority of your experience through life is repetitive, monotonous and virtually unchanging. That is the basic problem with uniformed people.
