while Russia may take a chance and help in civilian infra . i doubt you will get any military benefits from them . they do give things on loan or cheap . it is doubtful that they will want to anger India by giving you guys any access to any sensitive tech .

as for my comments on the military hardware . it was in relation to an earlier thread some time ago which said they might sell you some .

Its great that Russian President is coming to Pakistan which would be new chapter in Pak-Russia relations. Its the time once we establish very good relations with powers of world and our neighbours.Leaving apart defence relations we need economic cooperation and investment. Involvement of Russians in Iran- Pakistan gas pipe line would surely ease a lot of diplomatic pressure on Pakistan Government.
