Is that a mistake? Is that meant to be 1500 to 2000 KM instead of 1500-200 KM?

Need the test of Shaheen 5 ICBM 20,000Km range.
LOL impossible, currently there is no ICBM on the planet that reached 20,000 km range if you want to deter USA/ with ICBM 12,000 to 15,000 range will enough for us, it cover most of the world, except few part of south america, which is irrelevant for Pakistan @khansaheeb

First we
what is new in this missile,we should atleast increase range of missile and build satellite launching capability
first we need to improve our crippling economy than we think these type of fancy stuff @Yaseen1

.
We stop wasting millions of dollars on training launch of old missiles... After few years these technologies will be no more.. Time to get laser weapons friends
Laser has own limitation can't work at long ranges, its will be best for supersonic anti ship missiles defenses (short range defenses) etc etc, look what happened to US YAL-1 ABL program, which intended for intercepting ICBM at long ranges @Riz

.
To all the idiots who are complaining about misisle landing in sea. For their information, 2 years back Pakistan operationalized new state of art missile testing range at Somaini. The testing range goes deep at sea mainland Pakistan. New facility has lasers and all the hitech stuff to verify the results with 100% pin point accuracy. Moving forward all the medium and long range missile tests will be conducted at this route.

Ballistic Missile tests have been conducted from Sonmiani to sea since 2002.
I had been part of the such tests twice at sea (1000+ km South).
We witnessed the splash point both the times during these tests.

It was a training launch. I believe you understand difference between test and training launch.

Why this test today? Something to do with Indian election results?

May be, however, it was a training launch by the actual user.

if you look from an eye of Birdview, all these incident are interconnected. Allah Bless us good army and Security agencies who never close their eyes for the defence of Pakistan. We all knew, ExxonMobil played by Richard Bruce Cheney a top lobbyist of all offshore drill, (he is the person behind a war in all oil-rich countries) and asked his company to stop the drill and pack up and leave the country. Second, why Pak security forces surrounded the drilling site and following week Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa said Pakistan was ready for any unforeseen eventuality: https://www.ispr.gov.pk/press-release-detail.php?id=5301

and why American aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln change the route and reached the Arabian Sea after what Washington called an 'imminent threat' from Iran. https://www.militarytimes.com/flashpoints/2019/05/19/us-conducts-navy-exercises-in-arabian-sea/

This Test in Sea warn off the US and his nexus(India and Israel) don't come close to our oil resources. Just pray and thankful to Allah have strong army blessing. Pak Army Zindabad, ISI Zindabad, and May Allah Bless Pakistan and protect from all enemies till the end of judgment day.

Interesting information. Can I ask was it Naval personnel who surrounded the drilling site and did they force ExxonMobil to leave? It would be interesting to know who allocated drilling rights to ExxonMobil in the first place.
