PAKISTAN, SOUTH KOREA SIGN MAJOR DEFENCE COOPERATION AGREEMENT

@SQ8 @MastanKhan

New theory.

1. Pakistan gives up on Kashmir.
2. Pakistan stops collaborating with China.
3. The U.S. encourages South Korea, Turkey, etc, to sell Pakistan arms.
4. Pakistan re-orients focus towards Afghanistan and Iran.

It's starting to look like that's where Washington wants to steer things.
I beg Pakistan not to go the "IRAQ ROUTE". All i can do is hope, wish and pray though.

Maybe food? :D
I am genuinely scared to see what results come next year with half the foodstock destroyed and the usual inefficiency reducing what is left.

Need to see the bigger picture.
Shiny toys are useless. Just psychedelics for child like minds.
Then don’t post regarding them maybe - save us children the time of your usual
“Fauj, bajwa, CIA, sellout , leadership” keyword jumble posts?

I am sad to see you standing for such policy. Pakistanis deserve what they are getting, I have not seen worst misguided people than Pakistanis. Long live traitors, who harm their own country for fistfull of dollars.
How have you inferred what I stand for or not?

The phrase 'Ham bari dheet qaum hain' will be truly put to the test.

Maybe our siaph-salar will pull a rabbit out of the hat and save us...and take the plaudits yet again!

'Mulki surat-e-haal ko mad-e-nazar rakhtay huay, NDMA aur Pak fauj nay apnay jangi zakhayer say ashya-e-khurdonosh muhayya karna shuru kar deen'

I can just hear this headline right now!

S. Korea seems to be the shaping as one of Asia's biggest weapon dealer, everyone is buying from them!

.
Surprised the South Koreans still are willing to work with us considering our history with North Korea.
This is a good point, but the only thing that makes it make sense, is if the US govt "facilitated" a pipeline between Pakistan and South Korea- what other way could make that happen? US is controlin Pakistani PM afterall

Their weapons better be good, because to be honest with you,i see S. Korea potentially entering a military clash soon- with whom exactly? i dunno.

With N. Korea nuclear arsenal, in a pinch, they will just unleash hell, no need for conventional.
It is possible that S. Korea's military clash is aimed at Japan, we will see.

Anyone stop to think why a "MAJOR DEFENCE COOPERATION AGREEMENT" was signed by a deputy minister?

That may be the demand by Washington D.C; I think counter demand would be:

  1. Can't or Won't give up on Kashmir. Also Kashmir is a 'check' on India by US; just in-case India plans to be China 2.0.
  2. China is insurance policy against India by Pak and in the long run against West as well.
  3. Yes Please!
  4. Two way split: a) Yes on Afghanistan and No on Iran. b) Yes on Iran and No on Afghanistan

@Zarvan made a great point. It is one man show and policy. Never going to be consistent, go with the flow policies :)

I think one shouldn’t over react, for decades Pakistan has done defence deals with western and eastern countries. This is not a zero sum game. And I believe the Chinese value independent policies, keep in mind that the Chinese bought weapons from the soviets while the soviets were invading Afghanistan and posturing against Pakistan.

They (ETIM and TIP) were already based out of waziristan for a long time when TTP controlled it.

TIP already operates in AFG and fought alongside Taliban for the past 20 years. Their leaders are there.

I think USA would want to use Uyghur’s against China in their China containment policy. Best places for this is Afghanistan or Pakistan. Pakistan is better for this then Afghanistan is.
That was when they were a guerrilla force and had to take any support they could get. But now, the Chinese investment they are hoping to get will have at least that string attached. Besides, the Talibs have said they won’t allow their territory to be used against another nation. They could get away with saying it’s a Daesh controlled pocket from which these groups operate, but they will be pressed to crack down soon enough.

if Pakistan were to giveup on Kashmir,(1)
why would we need more arms ? (3)

These are just chai samosa agreements. Nothing substantial will come out of it.
\It is a MOU, that is IT.

any agreements subsequently will be based on it.

but the MOU by itself, means no contractual agreement.

Chinese camp is great until you realise they charged us 245% markup on CPEC energy projects and took billions in overpayments. Chinese are no friend, they do what will help them, we need to do the same

i remember back in the day SK was pitching EW gear towards us
Slander at its best. Took our loan and aid and spit at us with load of lies. Your country is corrupted and incompetent. Don't blame us. The evil is you. You Pakistan failed China.
