Pakistan SLV launch facility recently completed

I think they should welcome the KRL/GIDS section to bring in their Liquid Fuel Rocket Technology that will help reduce the weight and increases the payload capacity for the SLVs....

Also for Investment we can bring Middle Eastern countries to invest in a JV, Also we can help them out to build similar facility of making SLVs and Launch Pads in Middle Eastern Countries like:
KSA
UAE
Jordan
Oman
Yemen
IRAQ
EGYPT
LIBYA
ALGERIA
etc

There are no traces of Tilla Jogian Satellite Launch Range/Test Range Jehlum on Google earth or Google maps. :)

This facility being discussed here is part of the Sonmiani Rocket Launch Facility.
 
We don't like to pull a "Kaveri engine."

Hi my friend! Kaveri engine is a very decent engine as far as a country like india is concerned! it was our first attempt at designing a turbofan engine. And the fundamental reason why it didnt get success has something to do with -"COMBUSTION INSTABILITY"- a problem common to every turbomachinery.
Combustion instability is created when the frequency of flame in the duct(combustion chamber) matches with the natural frequency of the duct- this leads to resonance and compressive and tensile stress on the central shaft in longitudinal axis. This resulted in increased mechanical fatigue on the blades etc .
Interestingly i would also like to point out that two of the professors at IIT madras have filed a patent in PREDICTION and CONTROL of combustion instability in gas turbine engines.GE is a regular visitor here to consult the profs.

My friend,I was interested in very serious technical discussion as I'm a research scholar at IIT M(flight mechanics and control). it is indeed a great honor to have two profs who have filed patent in this complex field. KAVERI was our own project. Now they're working on "MANEK " series of turbofan engines

And I am the inventor of the real engine from MIT, I use it in my Mercedes when I fly off a CBG or submerge it to explore the ocean, works in both modes and its a water proof engine and highly water resistant for like a few cups worth of water, easily.

Nice to meet you, the patent you've filed, is that from GE? Or is it with the government of India based on your "own empirical" research that GE provided you with, or worked in the Indian labs? Nevertheless, its always nice to meet educated folks on here. There aren't many.

I did not file any patent, my professor did, it is from the institute known as IIT MADRAS .and no GE did not provide any emperical data.it was provided by Indian lab known as GTRE

Combustion instability is a common problem in all turbofan engines .it's just various designers deal with it in different ways. What my professor did was - filing a PATENT to predict and control the instability in real turbofan engines. - that is the reason why he is consulted by GE

As you know, the compressed gas is swirled in the chamber before injecting fuel, this swirling actually sustains the flame(otherwise the flame will die out).The flame has a natural frquency of its own(depending on the swirl).When that matches with the natural resonance frequency of the duct(combustion chamber) combustion instability is created. The job of a designer is to make sure that , that doesn't happen.
 
@Amerdeep Mishra - look you are IIT-M, that guy @Viper0011 is a Pakistani guy too ashamed of that fact and so flies two US flags. Don't waste your time trying to answer him. His purpose is served when he makes fun of anything Indian.

Or if you are a glutton for punishment you may discuss best ways to accomplish the right hue of green when painting chinese symbols over

I appreciate your intellect and education so I've got respect for you. But just to be sure you understand, GE's been building engines for many,many decades with almost no failures. I know GE like the back of my palm. Everything comes out of it with Six-Sigma, meaning 99.9% defect free, with engines, they go to 100% due to the sensitivity of it.

The professor, to be respectful to you, YET to keep the honesty intact, wasn't "consulted" by GE because their technologies (various for various range engines) weren't working. They need people and they get high quality individuals to work for them. Doesn't mean the individual brought something with them the GE's not seen or heard before. Its the SKILL SET they get and give that skill set their advance environment, combined both, they produced results and new things.

Like IIT existed in 80's and 90's too.....what came out of it and where the Indian economy was? We all know the answer. But now.....the same guys are CEO's in American corporations, why? because like GE provides, the other organizations have provided the American advanced tech and business environment that has helped these sharp guys in producing new stuff. It wasn't because of them ALONE. If I don't have a RAM quoting manufacturing unit, I can't build stealth no matter how much I know about Stealth. You need the environment like GE to do these things. Kaveri is a derisive of an "F" series of GE engine. I am sure Indian scientists going forward can tweak it as they need, know that the technology has been transferred and people trained in India.

It takes a second to realize the caliber of the other person. See how respectfully I addressed Amerdeep, why? because I know he's a qualified gentleman. But to people like you with nothing factual, just fan boy crap and personals, i won't extend the same respect as you guys act stupid all the time, without presenting knowledge or facts to anything!

Secondly, India cant copy a turbofan engine- it is simply not possible.and no kaveri is not a variant of any existing engine.There are a lot of technologies that GE wont share with us for instance-
1)THERMAL BARRIER COATING of Combustion chamber
2)Blisk
3)SCB
let alone these three,even if we copy the design of their diffuser or the arrangement of injectors- we'll be sued!- we can't simply do that

Good to see your this post is a bit better than the stupid references to your gay uncles and popinjays, which is why I was reluctant to take you seriously. Even in the response to Mr.Mishra, you could have stated your view on the Kaveri engine without that foaming comment belittling his professor's patent.

No one belittled anyone's work. I gave you professional courtesy and respect. And I am doing that right now. BUT, while I am being respectful, let's be truthful and not OVER GLORIFY the situation. I know the deal and what's now become the Kaveri engine.
You guys have smart people and there is no doubt about it. But the tech is American and some of the avionics you are building and SAM systems, that tech comes from Israel. There is nothing wrong in admitting that. It doesn't make you less educated or an expert, its just a fact. Obviously, you guys are smart to get the tech build the engines going forward and will use it and advance it so good work :tup:
 
In fact to your surprise, DMRL has designed the process to manufacture SINGLE.CRYSTAL BLADES- this is something no one will share with us

That post with unle and aunt was due to the constant personal crap every other Indian brings to the table. You ask a question on Economic Numbers or Rocket Science, and the poster doesn't know the answer. So instead of a "I don't know", I'd hear stuff about my flags, my country, how I can be Pakistani and all these three hour long Indian movie like stories.....how about we stick to the freaking topic and just answer fact based questions????

If others derail, I know how to put them back in their place so why make me write those posts? Just stay on the topic and answer, if you don't know enough......you didn't have to jump into a complex topic to begin with!!
