Very rich coming from someone whose government initiated the whole blame game during war crimes tribunal. Couldn't keep your nose off then eh?

Brother, this nullifies your earlier argument of "balancing China and India" since you're now suggesting it is payback or an act of vengeance. Kindly make up your mind. :partay: :partay: :partay:

As for The International Crimes Tribunal, I'm not the one who added the word international to the tribunal despite it being a domestic court. If the tribunal is indeed international then isn't it appropriate for international community to comment? Can't have your cake and eat it too. :partay: :partay: :partay:

Isolation fever is contagious, slowly moving west.

No one cares what Bangladesh thinks. Pakistan should seriously consider severing ties after statements like this.
But, Pakistan exports more than $1 billion worth of goods to BD. So, how can you so easily want to cut off relationship?

Good point and I am with you on that. Reason is that's how politics pans out in the sub-continent. Pretty sure you have your bunch of Asaduzzaman Kamals as well, who doesn't entirely represent the Govt. and people sentiments but have free access to the media.

Do they get fired or are held accountable in your part of the world? You know the answer better.

I don't know of any officials in the government of Pakistan who have made similar statements about other countries like yours, unless the government also supported those views. And, this isn't the first time it's happened.

More importantly, however, will the government of Bangladesh even release a statement disavowing the comments made by this minister? They haven't done so after similar statements in the past. And if it doesn't, how can anyone say he doesn't represent the views of the government?

Well, I was just referring to diplomatic relations, not trade.

You should have paid attention in your geography class

After the war crimes tribunal sentenced JI leaders to death, Pakistan politicians went about turning international opinion against Bangladesh government for "state sponsored executions". They passed resolutions condemning the verdicts and tried to turn Muslim countries against us. Even had its ally Turkey pull out its ambassador from our country. Why did Pakistan have to interfere in our internal matters?

We were honouring the tripartite agreement of 1974 according to which BD would not try Pakistan military officers who were complicit in 71 massacres. But BD was completely withing its right to try its own citizens. Interference by Pakistan and repeated statements condemning BD irked Awami League leaders. Relations with Pakistan were quite warm even during Awami's 1st term. It was Pakistan interference which provoked leaders to make such statements singling out Pakistan for state-sponsored terrorism. Its tit for tat

Okay given explanation now. Case closed :closed:

I don't understand why the Bengali government has to issue such a statement every fortnight or so. They're more Indian than the Indians themselves lol.
Fair play if India does it but Bangladesh?

Shah say ziyada, shah kay wafadaar.

What was Osama Bin Laden doing in Pakistan? Who gave him shelter there? Uzbekistan?

Who funded Taliban in Afghanistan? Sweden?

There is reason behind everything
Can u tell us how Bangladesh get harmed by Taliban and OBL ? Our terrorist was mujeb UR rehman and his pig followers and we still have right to kill those traitor pigs

Our terrorist was bhutto, yahya and niazi. First one was hanged by your own country. We should have killed the other two mass murderers who dumped our mandate and unleashed killer inhumane army on unarmed people.

Anyways this news is irrelevant. There has been big incident right now in Ankara

What were you guys doing for the last nearly 50 years? Sleeping? The govt. is killing old men to show how patriotic they are, Bangladeshis should be questioning the rationale of this half baked strategy, to cover up for their incompetence. But instead of that we have Patriots like you, who are happy at it being turned into a draconian vassal state. Congratulations!

Our country had military government till 1990. BD Army influenced state policy well into the 2000s and any such move to institute war crime tribunals met with disapproval from army. After mass protests in 2013 finally Army conceded and tribunals were instituted to try them for war crimes. JI leaders were former members of Al-Badr and Al-Shams paramilitary forces. They committed massacres and rapes. So people wanted them punished. They shouldn't have been hanged. One month jail was enough. But its just how it is. I can't change that.

Don't twist history to suit your own twisted agenda.

I searched all Bangladesh news sites. Found no such report of any minister releasing such statements. I think this is PAKISTAN MEDIA CONSPIRACY to IRRITATE and PROVOKE BANGLADESH. OP hitchiker is part of pak-india media nexus trying to irritate us. Don't troll
And once provoked, what would Bangladesh do? Murder Pakistanis like how they murdered old men via sham trials?
Or militarily attack Pakistan - Yeah right!

Stop talking nonsense, and wake up.

1) We were honouring the tripartite agreement of 1974 according to according to which BD would not try Pakistan military officers who were complicit in 71 massacres.. This is outside your capacity or ability and this is the reason.Honoring is not your choice it is compulsion..

2)They passed resolutions condemning the verdicts and tried to turn Muslim countries against us. Even had its ally Turkey pull out its ambassador from our country. Why did Pakistan have to interfere in our internal matters..It was Pakistan who accepted you after that you were admitted to OIC ,even..Had we really decided to alienate you among Muslim nations, you would have known its effect.Like a naughty kid standing outside the class.
