The News cited Mr Junaid Qureshi operations GM of Pakistan Railways as saying that the company has added 58 locomotives in its fleet after repair during the last 6 months.
Mr Junaid Qureshi appreciated the performance of engineers working at the CDW and highlighted their role in improving the railways efficiency. Mr Mobeen Ahmed chief Engineer Locomotives, Mr Malik Sahibzada deputy chief Mechanical Engineer, Mr Athar Riaz Work Manager and other senior officials were also present on the occasion.
He said that railways was facing shortage of locomotives in running its passenger and freight services, stressing upon other railway divisions to work with more devotion and dedication like Rawalpindi to put the required number of engines on the track.
