Gives it a bit of depth from the sea as well. Closer to coast can be ormara.Great news, but why so inland ? why not closer to the coast ?
why not sir ?
Why not ?
We don't own a bright colored sea king helicopter. Is that recently procured? @Rashid Mahmood
BTW it's not one of the British helicopters we recently acquired.
UN or any other governmental or non governmental organization don't operate any Sea Kings as per my knowledge. And even if it was one, why is it parked at the apron of a Naval Air Station? The facility is access controlled, fortified with concrete boundary walls and watch towers. It only shares it's runway with the airport, the rest of the compound is separated.Maybe belongs to a U.N mission ?

Very strategic move.
Sir it is in relatively bigger town with better facilities and next to a decent water source. Plus this is an air station and is just 80 odd kilometers from the coast. For an air craft its not that huge either. Also note how it mentions that it will serve CPEC as well. I wont be surprised if there is some new military installation constructed in Khuzdar next and may be even something in between later on.Great news, but why so inland ? why not closer to the coast ?
Then why not use Ormara Airbase for housing these birds??? Dont understand the logic of forming another Air Station and setting up a completely new infrastructure and support mechanism when we had Ormara feeding the Naval Base there. It would have been a more cost effective solution.
