Pakistan operationalises Naval Station in Balochistan

PN kindly add
Unmanned surface vehicle
in its fleet to protect our coastal line
it is cost effective and better surveillance

Then why not use Ormara Airbase for housing these birds??? Dont understand the logic of forming another Air Station and setting up a completely new infrastructure and support mechanism when we had Ormara feeding the Naval Base there. It would have been a more cost effective solution.

Maybe belongs to a U.N mission ?
UN or any other governmental or non governmental organization don't operate any Sea Kings as per my knowledge. And even if it was one, why is it parked at the apron of a Naval Air Station? The facility is access controlled, fortified with concrete boundary walls and watch towers. It only shares it's runway with the airport, the rest of the compound is separated.

Good to see our new Naval base is operational but PN needs more & bigger advance Navy ships to strengthen the navy, Type 52 & 55 is what PN should pursue. Also the recent visit by Italian navy frigate is also a good option for our navy.

Great news, but why so inland ? why not closer to the coast ?

This is basically a base for LRMPs and is 46 NM from the coastline.
P3Cs have an endurance of 10+ hours, so this small a distance doesn't even count.
The base is further inside mainland thus safe from any sort of attack.

PN also has air bases at Ormara, Pasni & Gwadar to be used by smaller aircraft to support naval operations are sea.

Sir it is in relatively bigger town with better facilities and next to a decent water source. Plus this is an air station and is just 80 odd kilometers from the coast. For an air craft its not that huge either. Also note how it mentions that it will serve CPEC as well. I wont be surprised if there is some new military installation constructed in Khuzdar next and may be even something in between later on.

Actually it's at a place which is equal distance from east as well as west in the middle not to one side like Karachi

As long as they keep illegal building and population in control

"Cost Effectiveness" is not the objective in every strategic decision
