Anything that it will be replaced with will be bloodily authoritarian, revolution always spawns these types of governments.
Chances are you'll be left with something just as bad, if not worse.
There is still a colossal power vacuum to fill in regards to the army and establishment.

You can learn about the process of election after the death of Prophet Muhammad from the Muhammad Haikal written book, famous Egyptian Historian. There were debate and votes, very very modern system. Two leaders from Anshar (biggest in population) and Quraish (minority) were in competition. The result showing that Quraish winning shows the election is based on rational rather than majority vs minority power composition as like Today democracy in modern world.

Pakistan should have been the continues of the Mughal and Delhi empires but we never bother to learn about our history. Look at India, 24 7 talking about mother India, they know exactly their aim.

Pakistanis have always known that the army controlled everything behind the scenes and never had a problem with it.

They see (or did see) the army as one of the most loyal institutions in Pakistan so didn't mind.

The real reason why people in Pakistan are mad is not because of "democracy is destroyed" or "facism" - but because of losing trust in an institution that has control over everything.

(Mind you, Islam is inherently a facist and anti-democratic religion so you literally look foolish complaining about these two)

The army's job is to restore this trust and to convince them that the army is still looking out for their greater interests. But their communication is shit - and honestly there is a huge question mark on how competent they really are because Pakistan is so poorly managed in every area.

Yup, unfortunately the system is destroyed after Ali and Aisyah fought using swords (not through consultation system (non violence means) that is put in Quran by Allah SWT), and there come Muawiyah that was Syria Governor who benefitting from this Ali vs Aisyah rivalry and destroyed Muslim first democratic system in 7 Century, far ahead of many great civilizations, only Greek that can be compared to.

We need to get the lesson from it, but we see similar situation in Today Muslim world like in Yemen, Syria, Egypt, Tunisia, Somalia, Sudan, and now Niger....

Lebanon has learned their mistake and now they are a democratic nation.

Some modern democracy like Indonesia, USA, and France pick only the majority as President despite USA is some how problematic with their electoral base system originated from their past history.

In Indonesia, Presidential election will be conducted in two phase with only two most popular candidates if no majority votes taken in the first election.

For the Parliamentary system, yep the party who get the most votes has the first right to form a coalition to form a government. Some Presidential system like in Philippine also use this system.

Islam commands you to live your life in a very specific manner, and it has very very harsh punishments if you break these laws.

There isn't any room for different political stances or parties because it only allows Islamic thought to thrive.

This system to me sounds less like western democracy and more similar (but not identical) to how CCP works.

Only when you killed other person, stealing, and doing Zinah (where Islam allow sex to happen between husband and wife) there you will face hard punishment which very fine IMO.
