The 054A in service after 2016 did not install the Russian mineral-me3 digital exchange system, but used the new domestic data link, so 052D can share fire control radar through CEC and 054AP instead of MR90 irradiation radar of 054AP. Just one 052D is enough.

The launch tubes look different from standard HQ9s. There are no rings and the canisters are smooth cylinders.

Searched many HQ9 pictures but did not find an analog.
