Pakistan needs to come out of destructive India mindset: US

if you think two nation theory failed miserably in 1971 what you think about hyderabad, junagadh, ferozpur, occupied kashmir etc which well belonged to pakistan as per the motto of separation were lost from pakistan in the very beginning??

pakistan's relation with muslim countries is enough to prove that two nation theory holds true

even after separation bengladeshis feel more towards pakistani than indian, infact both a a very common similarity of being disgusted about their indian neighbour hood at the same time

I don't really wanna get into this... But about ur comment of pak having good realtions with muslim countries- India has more muslims than pakistan and 90% of them live happily among others.

Just asking for information, when did this used to happen.I am quite sure, nothing of that sort is happening now. When did this use to happen? Any facts and figures that we can refer to?

SPECIAL TO WORLD TRIBUNE.COM Tuesday, November 4, 2003

ABU DHABI - Saudi Arabia has agreed to continue its arrangement to provide free oil to Pakistan as part of their strategic relationship. Arab diplomatic sources said Crown Prince Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz approved the continuation of an arrangement begun in 1998 for the delivery of free crude oil to Pakistan.

The sources said Saudi oil deliveries to Pakistan were part of a strategic relationship in which Islamabad provided weapons, technical help and a nuclear umbrella over the Saudi kingdom.

Riyad stopped charging Pakistan for most of Saudi oil in 1998 after Western sanctions were imposed on Islamabad. The sanctions were imposed in wake of Pakistan's nuclear weapons tests, Middle East Newsline reported. Abdullah was said to have reached formal agreement by Pakistan to transfer nuclear weapons to Saudi Arabia to help face external threats, particularly those from neighboring Iran. Abdullah, who visited Pakistan in October, was said to have agreed to continue deferred payments by Pakistan for the Saudi oil. The Saudi loans, estimated at $2 billion, were later turned into grants.

That is in the past.

Now, to the present:

Pakistan to seek free oil from Kuwait

Submitted by News Editor1 on Sun, 2011-02-27 01:42

ISLAMABAD: A day after authorities refused to increase domestic oil prices in line with the international market, President Asif Ali Zardari is scheduled to visit Kuwait to find a solution to the matter – which may include seeking free oil from the Gulf state.

The president, who on Friday flew to Kuwait on a two-day visit, will request the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, to supply half of the diesel fuel it exports to Pakistan for free while extending the credit period on the remaining 50 per cent, according to sources at the petroleum ministry.

In 1998, Pakistan was granted a similar facility by Saudi Arabia in the aftermath of the country’s nuclear weapons tests, which resulted in economic sanctions from the United States and Europe. In 2008, however, the government’s attempts to seek such a facility from Iran were rebuffed.

The government faces a severe financial crunch, since international donor agencies have refused to grant any more aid to Pakistan until the government undertakes drastic reforms to the energy sector and tax collection mechanisms. The $11.2 billion loan facility from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has been put on hold because of the government’s failure to deregulate energy prices – including oil – and levy the value added tax.........

Kuwait is the third largest exporter of oil to Pakistan, following Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Imports from Kuwait constitute 19 per cent of the country’s total oil imports.
Pakistan imports roughly 3.4 million tons of diesel oil annually from Kuwait, worth $2.5 billion, approximately three-fourth of total domestic consumption. If Kuwait agrees to provide half of its exports for free, it will cost approximately $1.2 billion, at current rates, in forgone revenue to the government-owned Kuwait Petroleum Company.

TS,

Jinnah and his philosophy has been disaster for the world. So many innocents(26/11, 9/11, Afghan embassy bombing etc.) lost lives for nothing.

I think its time for pakistan to move away from textbooks of hate and terrorism. For Krishna's sake, this is 21st century, world has reached the moon!

we will do what we think is right and you do what you think is right and let the time decide who was right............we dont need your advices if you are so good then be gone........we dont need you.

What kind of non sense is this? Bharati state keeps threatening us, a war against Pakistan is extremely popular among bharatis, and yet this non sense comes out? Oh well, who gives a f*ck. Let them say what they want.

This is odd behavior....

Your country is ripe with pests....They creep on to our side/allowed to (thats debatable for you since I know your stand).....You refuse to take care of the pests that bite us....and when we offer to wipe some of the pests off the face of the earth at no cost....You read war?

If there were no pests....dont you think we would have little reason to talk of surgical strikes, cold start, nuclear overhang...etc ect?

Well, there are no such pests coming from across the Sino-Indian border, yet the Indian Army still talks of a "two-front war".

So short answer: No.

You'd still find a reason to be aggressive towards China and Pakistan.
