Pakistan Navy Overseas deployments and exercises

During exercises yesterday of the Pakistan Navy with the navies of the United States and Germany, air defence against F/A-18 Hornets from aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan was practised, as well as anti-submarine exercises that lasted into the night.

ARABIAN SEA
COAST OFF KARACHI

Deutsche Marine Frigate FGS Bayern

and the Pakistan Navy Frigate PNS Aslat
🇵🇰
and a Yarmook Class Corvette conducted exercises in the Arabian Sea. FGS Bayern is completing a port call in Pakistan and was stationed at Karachi for 5 days.

Exercise Cormorant Strike 2021’


11th multinational ‘Exercise Cormorant Strike 2021’ concluded at Colombo, Sri Lanka. Pakistan Navy's Special Service Group (SSG) participated in multinational exercise conducted under the auspices of Sri Lankan Army at Infantry Training Center Minneriya.

Exercise Director, Commander Reserve Strike Corps Major General Harendra Ranasinghe, welcomed the Special Operations Forces of all regional participating countries that include Bangladesh, India, Maldives and Nepal.

The exercise was exclusively designed to exchange professional expertise in ‘Special Operations Forces' (SOF) domain. The aim of the exercise was to build synergy, strengthen military relationships and enhance interoperability among Special Operation Forces of participating countries. The Multinational Exercise focused operations included anti-terrorism operations, disaster relief reconnaissance missions, riverine operations and counter-terrorism in maritime domain.

Professional experience gained during multinational exercise will be rewarding in conduct of joint operations against common threats and will augment cooperation among participating countries.

JOINT PAKISTAN NAVY ROYAL SAUDI NAVAL FORCES EXERCISE NASEEM AL BAHR - XIII COMMENCES AT KARACHI


Major joint Naval Exercise Naseem Al Bahr XIII between Pakistan Navy and Royal Naval Forces (RSNF) commenced at Karachi. The exercise is aimed to consolidate the existing strong bilateral relations between Pakistan Navy and Royal Saudi Naval Forces. The exercise includes joint conduct of maritime security operations across the traditional and non-traditional warfare domains thus enhancing interoperability between both the navies.

Earlier RSNF flotilla arrived at Karachi port and was warmly welcomed by senior PN and RSNF officers. Besides Naval ships of both Navies, aviation units including PN & RSNF helicopters embarked onboard ships and aircraft of RSAF will also participate in this exercise.

On first day of the exercise, various harbour evolutions were conducted to provide synergy in different naval operations. It also afforded opportunity for both navies to conduct operational planning for the joint naval operations to be conducted in subsequent sea phase of the exercise. During the first phase, various training exercises were organized onboard PN & RSNF ships and harbour facilities. The respective force Commanders of PN & RSNF closely monitored and supervised the training activities.

KUDUMBIMALAI, SRI LANKA

The Pakistan Navy’s Special Services Group (Navy) participated in multinational field training military exercises Cormorant Strike XI, held in Sri Lanka. In its 11th edition, the multinational military Field Training Exercise (FTX) this year was exclusively designed for the Special Operations Forces (SOF) in a joint setting to build synergy with other sister services. Special forces from Pakistan, Maldives, Bangladesh, India and Oman participated in the exercise.

Exercise Naseem Al Bahr-XIII (NAB-XIII),

In an impressive fire power display during Exercise Naseem Al Bahr-XIII (NAB-XIII), Pakistan Navy and Royal Saudi Naval & Air Forces demonstrated joint combat readiness and war fighting potential through live weapons firing in North Arabian Sea. Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi and Commander Royal Saudi Naval Forces Vice Admiral Fahad Bin Abdullah Al Ghofaily witnessed the Live Weapons Firing by various naval and air units of both the countries out at sea.

The maiden participation of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) F-15 S/A in fire power display added unique blend to Joint Maritime Operations conducted during the exercise. Exercise NAB-XIII comprised of practical demonstration of joint response to conventional threats at sea. During Live Weapons Firing, PN and RSNF Ships and RSAF aircraft successfully engaged their respective targets. The aim of the exercise is to enhance interoperability and operational readiness among the armed forces of the participating countries to cater for wide spectrum of naval warfare and maritime security operations.

Later, both the Chiefs reviewed Joint Fleet Review of PN & RSNF ships at sea along with high ranking officials from both countries.

Exercise Naseem Al Bahr is a biennial Operational exercise which over two decades has evolved as a manifestation of Pak-Saudi strategic relationship and mutual resolve to enhance cooperation in dealing with maritime threats.
