The launcher is positioned incorectly could easily have included 16 SAMS in front
There is enough space to fit two 2 missile units side by side (Each carrying 8 missiles)

Have you ever heard the term "Ships Stability", which depends on the center of gravity of a ship.
You just cannot put equipment anywhere you see empty space. All equipment has to be at a specific place and of the required weight class.

Except those missiles have been placed near the center of the ship where they will add to stability.

these corvettes were made 20-30 years ago by India based on Russian design as most of IN naval armory is. indeed a good design specially for the age it was build in, do provides immense fire power.

The frigate PNS Shamsher in 1951.

PNS Badr (ex-HMS Gabbard) was one of the two Battle class destroyers acquired by the Pakistan Navy in 1956. Badr was transferred to the Maritime Security Agency in 1986

News about the type 54 frigate ordered by the PN from China:
1. 100mm naval gun will be choosed instead of PJ26 76mm gun
2. PN ask CSIC to add HQ10 SAM on the type 054 variant to reinforce its ability to intercept incoming missiles in terminal defense
3. Russian Ka28 ASW will be onboard
4. PN will order some sensors and electronic instrument from overseas and integrate them in China

Overall, it's a tailored made version with Pakistan specialty.

looks like we are going for HHQ 10 instead of Type 730 dont know why but Gattling gun seems better as it is multi purpose while hq10 is simply anti air PDMS.

It will have type 730 at each side of its flank, plus HQ10.
As to the ship born SAM, LY80N with 80KM range is available.

Firepower is important.

PN wants to modify the existing Type 054 as per it's own requirements.
That is the delay.

054A is powered by four MTU120163-TB92 high speed disel engine with TOT from Germany, with 6400KW output per. China mass produced these engine domestically.

German and France sell lots of goodies to China from 1980s to early 2000s.

PN wants to modify the existing Type 054 as per it's own requirements.
That is the delay.
