What's new

Pakistan Navy forces out an armed Indian Submarine from Pakistani waters.

Sub can also surface when its gets a message that if it does not it will face an attack....actually that is a standard operating procedure in peace times

No, it is not.

Mod need to close the thread, clean all trolls and abusive post.

@Oscar or anyone

And you think, that would make a submarine surface ?

Firstly, using Active Sonar, gives the position of surface vessel and a firing solution faster than you can say the words "Torpedo , Torpedo, Torpedo", makes it sitting duck.

Secondly a submarine only surfaces, when

1) Either its ballast tanks are damaged.

2) Its hull is breached, and in order to survive, it will rather surface thank, sink.

3) It need carry out repairs or charge its batteries, while running on Diesel engines,

Or Most importantly

4) if it wants too, like Chinese submarine surfacing in middle of a NATO exercise, a few years back.
Or Swedish subs surfacing within torpedo firing range of American carrier.

All the above situations are intentional decision taken by the submarine commander.

P.S. : you should stick to aircrafts , naval discussions are not your niche.

Really, please do remember we are talking about an Indian Sub with an Indian commander at control.

The scenario you are talking is more of a case between superpowers.

Keep in mind the incident where a Chinese aircraft collided with a USN spy plane during an interception and the US aircraft was allowed to make an emergency landing at a Chinese airfield.
Here you have India Pakistan already involved in skirmishes on the border, do you really think Indian commander would have fancied his chances after being discovered.
As for your advise, it's worth remembering that the detection and forced surfacing was made by an aircraft.

It is expected, that members should be able read and understand simple English, especially when it has been, carefully highlighted.

India navy has been very careful in it choice words,

It did not claim, Indian submarine was not there nor did it claim, that it did not enter Pakistani waters.

It said.

"Dubbing it as ‘blatant lies’, the Navy on Friday denied the Pakistani Navy claim that it had prevented an Indian submarine from entering its territorial water.

He added that the Indian Navy did not have any under water movement (that means, the vessel was already surfaced ) in the said waters(Pakistani waters) as claimed by the Pakistani Navy."
Yes I need some more English classes to

For one instance let me admit that we need few more classes of simple English language ...... But can I call your Indian Navy statement as Humiliation covered up with very nice and appropriate English language words????

Yeah.. just caz u say so

Ok, then, tell us about any real life incidents (from your extensive knowledge about submarine SOPSs) , where a hostile submarine has been forced surface, by just using an active sonar.

But good job! The ability to detect and thwart submarines is one of the most vital necessities for the PN, especially as India invests further in both conventional and nuclear boats.

Next time the PN should drop a dummy torpedo to scare the absolute sh*t out of the sub's crew:sarcastic:.

The Vid-tage is from P-Orion right?how the hell the submarine killer let em go -__-

Only after when our defense is strong. 8 new diesel powered submarine will possess enough threat for enemy. We need to get it as soon as possible .Also we need few deep strike fighters for navy. We are not strong enough to dictate enemy on our our own terms. But in next decade , anything is possible.
I mean if we have detected it we should have sunk it .
