IMHO equipping Marines with LST's is certainly not a priority for PN when they lack effective surface combatants in quantity and undersea capability.

Furthermore, this capability will mean a purely offensive role for the PN Marine force for which, if envisaged as such, would require a lot more goodies to be added to PN inventory before PN(M)can become an effective offensive force.

Though PN has not much money in Hand but at least used equipment from US can be bought:
2-3 LPDs
2-3 LHDs
new/used Chinooks
new/used Sea Stallions
new/used Sea Hawks
new/used Super Cobras
new/used Bell-412

This will allow the PN to adopt similar helicopters too.


Also, LPDs and LHDs are like carriers and some OHPs along with Agosta-90Bs can escort them for missions in Indian ocean too.


Marines will soon be becoming a separate force. I have heard this here. So, for this you can't suggest and compare it with PN any more. Marines will buy their own things like:
LPDs
LHDs
Tankers
Helicopters
Turboprop Aircraft
Fighter Aircrafts
UAVs
FACs
Boats
Mini Submarines - Germany/Italy/France/Sweden/S.Korea

PN will have:
Destroyers - I believe they will sell the F-22P to Algeria in favor of Chinese ones
Frigates - May be from UK (13) + Chile (3)
MPAs - P-3Cs+ATR-72s
Submarines - Chinese+Germans+French - May be 8 of each
Fighter Aircrafts
Tankers

we should develop blue water capabilities.

As economy gets better PN should consider transition to blue water Navy till 2030 at least because to operate near Vishakhapatnam and other key Indian assets PN would need that capability. Its about take war to backyard where they feel safe.

Amazing thing is that whenever new capability induction is discussed Indian jumped in to give lectures that we don't need it.

Who the hell you are telling us what we should have or not. Gives these lectures to your fellow countrymen first.

I think What Pakistan should do is to enhance the striking/defencive capabilities of Naval fleet like Turkey tries to do at present. Amphibious Assault ships are more for attacking purposes to enemy soils but Without aerial/underwater protection, The LCT, LPD/LHD and LST's are like a floating ducks for enemy, even If they have protection assets so What Turkey does at present can be summarized as following to guide brother Pakistan's amphibious assault boat ambitious;

Striking/Defencive asset projects
-400t Tuzla class Patrol Boats
-600-700t super fact and heavy armed Turkish type Assault boats
-2300t Anti-submarine warfare corvette called Milgem
-3000t Multi-purpose frigate called Istanbul class
-7000t Anti-Air Warfare frigate called TF-2000


Under the protection of above fleet, The amphibious ships/vehicles are being constructed as following,
-FNSS/Otokar built AAV's
-Adik shipyard build LCTs (1200t)
-Adik shipyard build LSTs (7200t)
-Sedef shipyard build LHDs (Navantia Juan Carloss-2) (28000t)

2-4 used LPDs
2-4 used HPDsalong with used Chinooks, Sea Stallions, Black Hawk, Super Cobras, Huey and Bell-412 from US. I think
