Dude if India wanted to open a "new western front" , your Pakistan would be relegated to its pre independence status. It is for mature politicians and army commanders to use as weapons of diplomatical tactics. Something that you fall out of the ambit of.

You would be more than suprised what Pakistan would do to india if india ever tries to create a "new western front." You thought the 6 millions Jews who were slaughtered in WW2 was a holocaust, Pakistan retaliation to india would redefine the very meaning of holocaust.

Lets hope thimngs don't come to this stage. Its easy to say then do such a thing.

Pakistan is capable of handling both fronts with the present troop deployment. These troops were relocated most likely in parts way back in 2007-08. Normally in peace time we do not post large number of troops on border with India since our cantonments are located quite close to the border. In case of any emergency we can easily reach Indian border in less than 48 hours (keeping in mind relocation of all types of assets and artillery being the slowest of the movers).

lol. . India getting support from USA and Israel-yes. But not against pakistan. . Currently USA's sale of military hardware to Pakistan avoiding Indian pressure is great example. .And also Obama is not a india lover like Bush. .same he does to Israel. . But congress lobbies there only making obama to stay with India and Israel. . Thnx

well i think its a move by Pakistan to make their position strong in areas that has been freed from taliban..............may be swat or somewhere near.
So that local administration can stand back on their feet and take back responsibilties without any fear etc.

I remmember durin former Pakistani President Gen.Zia-Ul-Haq period Israel & India already tried to destroy Pakistani Nu-Clear reactor or what ever you call it. But India totally failed into his this poor mission against Pakistan. Israel supporting India for Indian Terror in Jammu & Kashmir and of course against Pakistan too as well.

I would say that 1971 was a great example of what India can and would do if pushed too far. Your 100 000 troop shift is actually quite a miscalculation if true. In fact Pakistan should actually concentrate on its eastern front and limit its excursions against the Taliban. Let some caveman in Pakistan carry out a wild antic like 26/11 again and some hothead in Delhi may pressurise the GoI this time to show some flack. IMO India is and always be the growling tiger against the Pakistani nation whilst the Taliban is more or less akin to a stoneman threatening your well equipped soldier with a club. As long as Kashmir remains a sore point the chances of India and Pakistan becoming buddies is rather limited. Pakistan should stop appeasing its American master in moving troops against the Taliban(again if this is indeed the situation) and should rather retain its majority troops being stationed on its eastern borders. Just my 2 cents worth

I guess you didnt hear about the lobbying groups in the USA. They are rather influential and make changes to political decisions of the ruling party. Last I heard , Indian lobbying groups are strengthening. Pakistan has limited or no groups lobbying in their favour. Add to the fact that India in most cases can count on Israel (who have one of the most sound lobbying groups in the US) and you can understand where the "pressure" arises from

No threat to Pak from India, says US, but…

A top US official has said that Pakistan must recognize the fact that by taking on the Taliban and other extremist groups threatening its very existence, it is not exposing itself to any risk from India.

Michele Flournoy, the Under Secretary for Policy in the Department of Defence, told a Congressional hearing that Pakistan has moved 100,000 troops from its eastern border to bolster the anti-Taliban operation in the restive tribal areas, and that it must be reassured that it does not face any threat from India.

“We must continue to reassure Pakistan that as it combats the terrorist threat, it is not exposing itself to increased risk along its eastern border,” Flournoy told US lawmakers.

Just a day ago the Pentagon confirmed that Islamabad has shifted 100,000 troops from the Indian border to its western border, which marked a clear shift in its strategy.

The Pentagon told the Congress that the massive shift of troops is an acknowledgement of the fact that now terrorism and internal insurgency were posing the greatest threat to Pakistan.

“More than 100,000 troops were moved from the eastern border with India. This unprecedented deployment and thinning of the lines against India indicates that Islamabad has acknowledged its domestic insurgent threat. The Nation quoted the Pentagon, as saying in its latest periodic report to the Congress on Afghanistan.

Earlier, testifying before the House Armed Services Committee, Flournoy said Pakistan has also raised concerns over the increasing India-US relationship.

“A final hurdle, frankly, relates to the legacy of mistrust between the United States and Pakistan. Past US sanctions, past Pakistani concerns about the growing US-India relationship, its scepticism about US staying power in the region have made it a weary partner,” Flournoy said.

“Similarly, reports of Pakistan’s tolerance and support for some violent extremist groups have created scepticism on the US side,” she added.

Nobody gives any attention to these lobbying groups. Nothing can be done to Pakistan by these lobbying groups. If anything is to get accomplished by these groups they would first have to get Pakistan's Major non-NATO ally status removed.

And I've seen those indian lobbying groups and they are so so stupid. They try to imitate the Jewish/Israeli lobbying groups but they are just not as smart as them.

and you live in the US of A ?? They don't attempt to imitate anybody. They work with the Israeli lobby groups. Ask your fellow Pakistanis why they fret and fume over India's alliance with Israel. Therein lies the answer
