KARACHI: Pakistan Navy has started constructing missile boat in the Karachi Shipyard, our sources reported.
The missile boat would be equipped with anti-surface missile, automatic guns and weapons system.

Secretary defence production, Lt. General Shahid Iqbal, attending the keel laying ceremony for the construction of missile boat as guest of honour, expressed his thanks to the Karachi Shipyard and added that it would help build up the defence capability of Pakistan Navy.

Following the handing over of two small tanker cum utility ships and launching of 22p-f frigate, these missile boats with the cooperation of China are being built in the Karachi Shipyard.

very true.
i think Pakistan have acquired enough knowledge to build naval vessels. what we need to focus now is development of systems that will equip these vessels.
to start with, PN can go for heavier vessels from China and try integrating naval version of Babur missile and some anti ship missiles on these boats. With the naval version of Babur on cards, we will need to start working on Anti Ship missiles. some other auxiliary systems like the Flares and decoys can also be made in Pakistan with ease. later we must try and make our own command management system (the success of C4 system points that we are well capable of doing it) the radars, sonars can be taken from China but rest of equipment will be ours!

true but babur is not essentially a anti ship missles like exocet or harpoon..its more like a tomahawk

Pakistan have a small coast line, and shouldnt waste money to buy warships, they should just continue buying it from China, Pakistan shouldnt try to make warships, just because India can make it.

Wonderful idea, but NO. Pakistan should be independent for most of its military needs.

We need to take produce bigger homemade ships....
