perhaps paf is planning 150 jf17s , 150 f16s , 150 fc20s....-- or even inrease a couple of squadrons to 22?

. .
Those jets are not at all meant for offense against Pakistan am sure.

neither ours,:D
so stop crying over international weapon market for "Stop Arming Pakistan" and let us buy new birds from west and from Russia too. :partay:

.
When will Norway get F-35? in 2025 or so?

Where do they stand in the long queue.. ???

What if PAF get F-16 say after 10-15 yrs from now? PAK FA/FGFA may be ruling the south Asian skies by that time...

BY 2025, F-16 will be in perosnal hands, like Ghats & Zeros..

. . . . .
No harm in expressing interest.

However, given the time frame involved (till the Norwegian F-16's are retired) and the uncertainty over the direction US-Pakistan relations will take in the future, I doubt this EoI indicates a change in the PAF's procurement plans WRT the JF-17 and FC-20.

. . .
Buying old F-16s when neighbors are about to get 5th generation stste of the art planes,is not wise...or is it?

The threat is from SU30+Mig29+Mirage2000. PAK-FA or whatever it is still a long way to go and not an immediate threat. So we have to take all measures to counter the present threat not some PAK-FA, FGFA or whatever FA it is.

It will be a more difficult purchase politically vis a vis the Mirages..
First..all US items need approval from the US congress for resale..
we had to get permission for a sale of our old T-37B's to bangladesh..
Second.. there will be immediate pressure on norway by the Indians to cancel the sale.. also.. the norwegians are waiting for the f-35..which has an IOC with them after 2015.. which makes any sale before that a degradation of Norwegian AD capability..
Third... we arent the only ones in line for these jets..
