Pakistan is buying Type-022 Houbei stealth catamaran missile boats

India is stronger or weaker isn't the point. In Indo-Pak scenario, your AC are like a Hot GF that everyone wants. You want to show her around but you try to keep her away from everyone's reach. So what's the benefit of this AC if it'll be staying 600 miles or more away from the Pakistani cost (meaning 200+ miles away from the Pakistani EEZ).

If this AC sits 600 km behind, and provides maritime escort to squat little missile boats, it will be enough for our Destroyers and smaller ship for repeat performance. apart from that even our patrol boats are qualified to launch convnetional ballistic missiles. With 533mm compatible SLCM, Indian navy doesn't only posses the ability to enforce a blockade but effectively take on coastal defense of Pakistan aswell.

If in doubt go look up Indian Naval fleet strength and delivery systems.

actually meant not by pakistani std, ... but either ways not an insult... look up your fleet strength

And with the above post ladies and gentlemen, the PN looks like Iranian swarm fishing boats with
guys trying to counter IN's might, missiles and jet with sheer, 6 bullet 9MM REVOLVERS!!!

You funny . I like reading your posts. Very comical to say the least!!

Isn't our expanding fleet making you apply burnol ????

8 Subs, Patrol boats, Stealth boats and Some frigates are coming in... Pakistan Navy was neglected for long but not now...

Sir @Rashid Mahmood can explain better then me.

PN and the PAF will grow a lot more. Starting 2020, the PAF will place more orders for all 4++ Gen platforms with the entire fleet strength increasing by 20-30% (in addition to whatever Pakistan buys or builds till then). Plus, the PN will grow in size by over 50%+ of what it is today.

With increased EEZ to 350 miles, the PN has to project power across a huge area, PLUS, it has to protect thousands of ships coming and leaving Karachi and Gawader with stuff for Pakistan, China, Russia and some central Russian states.

In fact, the range of Paistan's EEZ now ends very close to Dawarka (a major IN station) and then Bombay little bit further down. So having ships on rotation 100-150 miles within Dawarka (and much closer to Bombay then ever before), will keep a serious check on IN's naval station and on the Bombay port.

On the other side, the Pakistani EEZ now gets very close to Muscat and Gulf of Oman, and on the other side, to the Strait of Homez. The PN can actually block any ships bound to India from that side too, if she had the number of advance and heavy vessels and an air arm of dedicated 80-100 jets (combination of 4th gen+ and the JFT block II and III's).

Next thing the PN should do, is to build a naval station in Jivani, which is a port within like 20+ miles from Iran. Having a secured naval station there can keep the Chahabar port (within 50 miles), in a serious check from a Pakistan's military and strategic standpoint. The above points are VERY deep and well thought through. You'd have to think about the implications to understand what I just wrote.

I hope some PN senior officers read this. I just gave a future strategy for the PN!!!

@Oscar @Slav Defence @Jango @Irfan Baloch @Horus : do we have any PN members here? They should read the above. Please invite them, discretely or openly

We only had Ghazi sitting outside their main harbour in '65 and there whole fleet was caged.
It's not about fleet strength....it's about the other strength.

So let the time come....

@Viper0011.

In the next 5 years---there is going to be serious upgrades in weapons technology----visavis---in tracking 5th gen aircraft.

Once the PL15 is inducted---it will take the game to a new level----. People say---how can you track a 5 gen aircraft---it is easy----look at its missile launch----it will give your computer an approximate area----yu will launch your missiles in that direction---and the brains in your missiles will calculate the approximate path that the stealth aircraft would take---

You will be able to do this because your BVR has a longer range than the opponents. So---technically---it will be better to have 4th gen aircraft with state of the art equipment and state of the art BVR missiles available.

You will see that the RACE is going to be for BVR trucks----. Russia already started a long time ahead---because it knew that RCS don't mean A DIDDLEY SH-IT----it is more about the cost factor when your weapon has crossed the minimum sustainable threshold.

I read somewhere that the Japanese have come to the realization to load up a 3rd and a 4th gen aircraft with potent missiles and electronics rather than go all out for 5th gen aircraft----.

Pakistan's salvation and success lies in a very potent naval strike aircraft with long legs and a heavy load----an ability to carry Babur cruise missiles----that would negate any strength attained by the enemy---. The powerful NAVAL air wing will make Pakistan stable from enemy's threats.

For long range we should look for J-11 C or develop it with China with powerful AESA radar with various range of missiles and other equipment we need to to look for a Fighter Jet like that two to three squadrons for Navy it would be massive boost.
