Who cares what the UN does?. China was not even a member of the UN in 1962 and beat the stuffing out of you.
Your UN is not going to get your Kashmir back or provide you protection in a nuclear war ( no ceasefire there).

This group, largely representing the views of the Congress or opposition believes Pakistan can be successfully moved into a situation of peaceful compliance with a double approach of threat and then allurement, This group believes in the "sugar cube approach" of dissolving Pakistan slowly by a mix of cultural affinity demonstrations "we-are-one-people" approach, and a shaming approach:
But first a ceasefire is needed...

Arguments Group 2 Indians make .
1. We are one people, and have been so for 5000 years so why fight us ?
2. Religion? There are more Muslims in India than in Pakistan and they are better off than you so why fight us ?
3. Economics ! Look at us and look at you , we are so much better than you. Never mind you were better than us all through the decades up to the early 1990s . Isn't it a shame you fought a war on behalf of the USA for 40 years? Why fight us ?
Oh yes, we massed 1000,000 troops on your border too, but then we are more powerful. If your economy buckles under the strain of fighting the first , and second superpower and then the 4th largest military power then served you right for separating from us. Let us rule you. Just convert peacefully .

If you think Pakistan has approached India than you need to explain why - what has changed between India or Pakistan. Look harder, Pakistan has done ZERO things to appease India in Kashmir, Afghanistan or elsewhere. On the other hand, India has just done a deal with China in which China has evacuated Indian territories while some other areas are in China's control - possibly forever. Watch Ajay Shukla explaining Karan Thapar what India has conceded in this deal - and the same deal also has LOC component which is making India approach Pakistan and reverse the status of Kashmir.

Wait and see, you will be surprised by India reversing decisions in Kashmir. The decision should be out soon.
