PAKISTAN HOLDS KEY TO IRAN'S NUKES

LONDON [MENL] -- Pakistan was said to hold the key to the U.S. intelligence effort against Iran's nuclear weapons program.

A report said Pakistani nuclear scientist Abdul Qadeer Khan was more knowledgeable than U.S. intelligence on Iran's nuclear weapons program. The report, by former Indian Cabinet secretary B. Rahman, said Khan was a key consultant in uranium enrichment and other elements of Iran's nuclear program.

Iran has established a uranium enrichment facility at Natanz and a uranium conversion plant at Isfahan. Raman said Khan could have intimate knowledge of both facilities.

"It is likely that A.Q. Khan, the Pakistani nuclear scientist, who clandestinely collaborated with Iran with the approval of the Pakistan Army and supplied the centrifuges, is a storehouse of information on Natanz -- if not on Isfahan," Raman said in a report entitled "The Man Who Knows More About Natanz Than CIA." "It is very important that the U.S. gets hold of him and interrogates him thoroughly before finalizing its options."

what a suprise that an indian cabinate minister is saying all of this. these guys just dont want to let go of this issue. they know that pakistan will never give A.Q. khan up for questioning but they still want to create tesions between pakistan and the US.

B. Raman is one of the most anti-Pakistan people on the planet.

Just read his articles and you will see.

This man is born to hate Pakistan and so anything this nut case says, the opposite is true

When will people understand that Technology is something that must be gained. You can buy and get help but you have to eventually learn it yourself.

Iran's nuclear program goes back to 1960's when a research reactor similiar to Pinstech was established with the US help. AQ Khan helped with the design of centrifuges only. If you have an Aluminium plant, can you design and build an aircraft??. No one holds key to other country's nuclear program.

The 'Key' is the trained manpower and political will. Once a country has technical knowhow; it is only a matter of time before they develop an nuclear bomb. The article quoted above is for the masses who are naive enough to blame others for their own ills; no different than the 'Conspiracy Theorists' of Pakistan.

Iqbal says " Nigahe mard -e momen say badel jati hain taqdeerain'. He means people with faith, knowledge and determination. Similar to Pakistan, Iran and North Korea have shown the will to carry out what they think is in their best interest. AQ Khan only provided help at some crucial stage that is all.

Whether Iran should be nuclear power is another matter. I think I have already posted earlier that a nuclear Iran is bad for Pakistan. But whether Pakistan holds key to Iran's nuclear program - NO. Only people who hold key to Irans nuclear program is Iranian Guardian Council and their nuclear scientists; and it is them who will face consequences for their actions whether good or bad.
