Pakistan has placed order of Russian Gunship Helicopters - Dawn

US has been the largest economy for decades, you think today the found India and India is GOd's gift to running the country? Your congressmen would beg for of shoring and all, I was a part of some of those meeting many years ago. Now you are acting like you are the shi*t. You are not. Whether or not you buy from us, we'll still be fine. Frankly speaking one law in place and sanction can be put on, and the American business will have to leave India. Then where does that take you? Back to the disco music of the 80's? Someone told me a long time ago, don't shi*t where you eat and always remember your background.......I think you guys should remember it too. A country where half a BILLION people still don't have proper beds to sleep on, is acting like a macho man. Sad.

I think the discussion was PAF getting attack helicopters....

So what side are you? American OR Pakistani?

And if you are on American side, then why are you not condemning this because your adopted country's economy has stakes in Pakistan. US poured billions in Pakistan for its development and investment for 50 years. So don't you think that AH-1Z would be a better choice?

And if you are on Pakistan's side, then why are you violating PDF's rule on displaying of correct flags for both origin and place of residence?

I know the reforms and WHO made you do those (thank you uncle Sam, appreciate the help for India). You again took the post out of context and did what you wanted to do. 1991 wasn't even in question. It was 1995-2014........in 1991, the word BMW to Indian population used to show up in American movies, the little you'd get inside India. This is how far off you guys were from modernization so there was a SMALL economy. Like I said, Bullshi*t someone else who doesn't know India and its economical roots.

I guess you know what usualy happens after liberalization of a 'license raj' socialist economy.I hope you would also claim 'US developed China ' after their reforms in '78.

What the hell happened in 1995 ?

I don't want to talk to a Pakistani who make claims like like 'India is 15 years behind China in spy sats' 'India builds just the hull of Arihant'

Just not to make more threads...

Expecting 25 JF17 block 2 to be sold to Myanmar with follow on order of 50. There is a very decent chance that this will be the first export for Pakistan in the magnitude of 600+ million USD. There is no official info but enough signs to be translated to...

BLOCK II can be good Air Craft for countries like Myanmar Bangladesh and others in Africa specially and also in South America

Mi-35 = the better option is Mi-28
T-129 is a italian machine with US powerplant (need US NoC)
WZ-10 has poweplant issue with dependability. no mass production as of now.

now what other options left?
mi 35 is better protected what TTP normally uses for against PAK ARMY and it also gives a punch of extra soldier it carries and they can be bought asap and also at low price

As per your OWN reminder...the discussion was "PAF getting attack helicopters....". Why are you trying to derail the thread???
I am so much on the American side that you can consider me Christopher Columbus part II. Hope this answers. Now if you cared to read my posts here, instead of just going all Indian emotional on me, you'd see that in one of the main posts, I've said it multiple times that personally, I'd like to see Super Cobras here in numbers. I'd ALSO like to see India buying jets from us instead of paying for the Rafale. But you guys are clearly not on the American side while we help you strengthen your country.......

Does anyone know how many MI's Pakistan is buying?

And it can smash a lot of tanks and leave them shmokay.......does the job. Wish Pakistan was getting Super Cobras or Apaches!

Dont know how Pakistan can receive these helicopters so quick.

Does Russia have a stock of unsold Mi-35s built for export?

Russia confirms MI-35 Gunship helicopters deal with Pakistan

Well it has been reported that Pakistan has placed order for the latest Mil Mi-35 Multipurpose Helicopter Gunships.
That would mean it is at least the Mi-35M3.

India unhappy at Russia's Mi-35 sale to Pakistan

India's defense links with Russia are under strain following Moscow's recent decision to supply Mi-35 'Hind E' attack helicopters to Pakistan.

Senior Indian officials are closely monitoring Russian attempts to sell an unspecified number of Mi-35s to Pakistan: a move that would tear up a decades-old informal understanding between Delhi and Moscow against supplying Islamabad any materiel.

"By offering to sell military equipment to Pakistan, the Russians are, in all probability, trying to arm-twist India from sourcing its defence requirements from alternate suppliers," former Indian Navy chief Admiral Arun Prakash told IHS Jane's . "Such tactics should not intimidate India's new administration."

Pakistan's national security and foreign affairs adviser Sartaj Aziz travelled to Moscow to thank Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov for the helicopters on 21 June, just two days after Indian leaders raised concerns in New Delhi with visiting Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin.

Aziz also "expressed the hope that Pakistan's further request for defence equipment would also be considered soon as part of our continued defence collaboration", a 20 June Pakistan Foreign Office statement said.

It remains unclear how many Mi-35s Russia has agreed to supply and the status of negotiations. The Pakistan Army's existing attack helicopter fleet is made up of a mix of AH-1F/S Cobras supplied by the United States. These are used to provide surveillance, attack, and close air support to ground forces engaging militants in the Tribal Areas and surrounds.

Official sources in Delhi said Rogozin had provided "ambiguous" assurances to Indian foreign minister Sushma Swaraj that Indian and Russian military ties would not be jeopardised by the sale to Pakistan.

Rogozin was in Delhi to reaffirm Moscow's defence ties with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's newly installed BJP-led government. His visit followed a 4 June statement by the Russian ambassador to India Alexander M Kadakin, who said Moscow would not do anything that would be "detrimental" to the deep strategic partnership between Delhi and Moscow.

Russia has been India's largest weapons supplier since the early 1960s, but since 2000 its monopoly has been gradually diluted by Israel, European states, and the United States.

Moscow still supplies 75.7% of India's defence equipment, followed by the US (6.8%) and Israel (5.2%). It also provides India technical assistance with some of its more classified strategic programmes, such as its nuclear-powered attack submarines
