Their have been rumors in circulation within naval circles (one of which is my source) that Pakistan is very closely looking at procuring the J-11 for the Naval aviation arm. This would be a major boost to the Pakistani navy's range of operations and capability, since the chinese flanker could carry upto 4-5 ASM. The russian connection for the engines has already been delt with and the russians have cleared orders.

As we know that we have ordered 36 FC-20, i am afraid we might not be able to have J11 at the same time

what is in the current naval aviation inventory.

J11 is copy aircraft, china only authorized to produce 180 SU-27, Russia is already crazy even J-11 just equiped in PLA,we update the J-11B with our best avionics, radar, and even improved the stealth performance ,russia won't sit back and watch china taking some market ,china and russia already signed a "stop copying" agreement in 2008.......

Pakistan already started the mass production of JF-17,with the experience of JF-17 and the TOT of J-10,i am very confident that pakistan will be able to R&D your own J10 and J11 soon,it's the best interest for pakistan's future

What you are suggesting is possible only in the next 2 decades as this is the time it will take for the R+D to bear fruit. I think the need is in the next 3-5 yrs and is quite realistic. However, i am not sure the funds are there for such a fancy buy. I think a more realistic approach would be to shelve J10 and go for J11 and then buy Improved J10b/c in 2019-20. This would however depend on the Chinese being able to deliver the plane. I still think it is unrealistic for PN to have a naval a rm with j11 when PAF will only have 18 F16s and JF17. Therefore it should be a buy by the PAF and one sqd kept either in karachi or somewhere close by for supporting naval operation.

it go back to the engine again.......ws-10 is still unreliable,PA won't go for J-11 with current ws-10,i am pretty sure india will jump out and force russia to cancel the deal if it's with russia's engine

Why would somebody buy J11 only for the naval arm, wouldn't it be better to buy it for PAF and PN if you buy it?
Also, I think you wanted to compare the J11 against the Mig 29K that IN will have with the new carrier, but the specs you provide are from the older IAF version.
Here are some specs of the Mig 29K:

- MiG-29K/KUB

Why not Pakistan cancel all Deals with Unitedstates including BS Govt talk on WOT with USA because US sell her Arms to India (F18 Super HORNET or F16z) ?

Talked about many times before ! we wont be able to get the j-11 although i love to see this beauty in our fleet! and if we do some how get it i doubt the PN will carry rather i can see PAF carring it ! PakPower bro in a ll due respect wat is your source? i have family in the PN plus my father has many friends in the armed forces specially in the navy haven't heard any such news boss!

Makes a little sense because navies around the world use Twin engine ACs for relaibility purposes. However J-11 is not the suitable choice at the moment due to engine prob Navy may go for JH-7A if it wants a naval Aviation platform

how good SU -27 against Su 30. Any idea?

Well off course this is possible why not if India is buying weapon from USA. Russian might sell to Pakistanis. Whats wrong with that?

Pakistan should buy at least 50 SU-27. I like to see Pakisatn Inventory something like this.

100 f-16s
250 Jf-17
85 J10
100 J11
70 Mirage 2000 ( if we negotiate from UAE)

wishful thinking
is all i can say,
for me the inventory will be something like
250 JF17
may even be increased if the upgradation proces stay on track, perhaps something like JF17b or JF17-II with massive upgrades (depending on the response of export market)
80+ Fc20z
some 60 odd F16z

for J11 deal never going to happen, my point actuall is that even if Rusians allow there sale PAF wont be going for twin engine planes until somwhere in 2016-2017 if they ever do. by that time there will be better options and J11 wont be a candidate for post 2018 procurements! that is what make me say no to J11z
i hope you understand!

regards!
