That's the only way to deter US military attack. It doesn't matter that they can vaporize all of Pakistan in one hour. As long as they believe there is a reasonable chance of nuclear retaliation on the US mainland, they will keep their distance.

No. The second strike is a suitcase nuke hand delivered by a geographically dispersed team of agents who don't even know where the others are and only meet for the first time at the target location.

I don't think the Pak army is incompetent or traitorous. I seriously believe they know the US response will be significant and the US is looking for a reason to start all out hostilities.

Obama is desperate - failed Presidency.
NATO is desperate - nothing to show in Afghanistan.
