What's new

Pakistan coast-defence missile systems

Any details on range

Between land and ship based options the injuns need to be kept atleast 300-500km away from our coast

Our 11-13 subs will be critical but these types of defences are vital

Range is around 500km - 700 km
It's babur with radar from C602 missile with mid flight data communication to correct the course and switch on radar close to the target .
It's the same which will be SLCM for Chinese submarine may be more in range around 1500km.

MOD EDIT: it's all speculation on member's part no specifications or performance parameters of this missiles are officially released

These are big claims you are making, if true then great but what are you basing your statements on

Goodness I hate the media:hitwall:! Country after country they are ignorant as f*ck!!! That's a USN ESSM anti-missile/aircraft missile!

...

Still, this is a necessary and vital capability for Pakistan. Hopefully we'll be seeing a launch from these in the near future:

Coastal and surface ship batteries are useful, but submarines take the calculus and ratchet it even higher.

Tebrikler Paks - you are in real need of the top of the line defense staffs. Even a public forum is attacked, so no wonder if give an opportunity more physical destructions will follow.

All technologies flow from one set of sources to others. As long as you continue learning and studying ins and outs of each part of your systems and easily play with it you are OK to do further modifications. If supply chain for manufacturing and upgrading such secretive systems are at your disposal that means you have reached a position which is much beyond just buying off the shelf staffs. Looking at the past achievements it's quite obvious to the third parties that you have reached the point of no return..

Pakistan is working on cruise missile from sometimes so they have the know how for motor and guidance system now they just put radar of this cruise missile with some mid flight data from AWACS of fighter or satellite for course correction and use the radar for terminate phase

yes but are you making an assumption, a educated guess or are you aware of some information that we have a naval anti ship version of babur with 700km range with a seeker from a C602

Maybe its our own development. Maybe no copy or anything Chinese or American.
Just sayin...

One test and inducted into the Navy?

Seems plausible that this isn't no indigenous after all.

Regardless of what anyone says or insinuates, Pakistan most definitely has the capability to produce such advanced missiles.

Origins aside, this missile is a MASSIVE force multiplier for Pakistan's naval defences. This will give us defence capabilities that we have never ever had before. And with the 8 advanced Chinese submarines being sold to Pakistan (4 of which will be manufactured in Pakistan with TOT), our navy will receive a boost it has never ever had in it's entire history.

As each day passes, Pakistan becomes more secure against threats from foreign powers.
There are rumors that Pakistan might cancel Chinese submarines contract, which are found to be inferior to Agosta
Class subs.Pakistan might go for German U 214 or ex- U 209 of Grman Nay.

Unlikely, Chinese subs will give us freedom to have a say in how we eish to push their development snd customise the weapons so we can hit india with sea based nukes, plus half will be made in Pakistan.

We will get none of that with German subs plus we risk india's randi rona act in Europe which we dont have to worry about with china

your side is the one making the claim so burden of proof falls on you.

for being Indigenous, atleast majority of parts should be designed, developed and manufactured locally.

Actually "his side" isn't. The OP put the title as "made in Pakistan missile" but no where in the press release is it mentioned that it's an indigenously developed missile.

This is the most funny thing I have read today. Stupidity is believing such rumours and remember you can not fix stupidity.
We are building them as we speak. They are good enough for us and meet our satisfaction and requirement.
