I am not one bit sorry for the families of TTP killed. Its entirely TTP fault they shouldn't have kept their families near them knowing fully well that we would retaliate one day.

Which sane person would choose to live with their family in the hell hole called Afghanistan where 95% of the population is starving as opposed to the relative comforts of Pakistan?. It was clearly a TTP encampment.

Also Taliban needs to understand- if they fight a war with Pakistan- it wont be a guerilla warfare like they are used to- now they run a state- they would need to defend their border and their territory- a bunch of rag tag infantry which would be waiting to be annihilated by our UAV/gunships and PAF.

exactly, people really overestimate the abilities of the taliban. Guerilla warfare is different from conventional warfare. Sure, they are good in guerilla tactics like they did against America by attacking posts and hiding in the mountains, but that only works against an occupation. How do they expect to use those tactics while simultaneously planning a military advance, they do not have the air power, drones, proper intel, rockets/missiles, UAV's, etc. Hiding in the mountains isn't going to help them fight along the border, in my opinion we need to seriously humble them by sending a few jf-17's and drones.

The Afghan govt even if not friendly, is at least neutral towards Pakistan. This would make them go against us in the long term, and fester more bad blood.

A more proactive approach is needed to tackle this issue, with aggressive actions within our territory and then a more strict border management, then we can think about going into Afghanistan.

Especially since we have Mohsin Dawar and Ali Wazir now in government.

They are not neutral, they are heavily pro-TTP. Check the statements of their ministers. We have lost all leverage on them.

Intercepts of comms between TTP personnel have showed them confirming that about 25, more or less, TTP fighters were killed alongwith very few family members they were keeping alongwith them. However they said that when Amarat people come, tell them all were civilians.
