Pakistan carries out airstrikes along AfPak border

TTP's ideological proximity to ISIS may be true but the fact of the matter is that IEA has provided shelter to the killers of Pakistanis and that in itself is a grave crime. 8 months is a long time for inaction especially in areas where IEA holds full control.

Did engaging the Talibs yield anything in Swat? Waziristan? NO

Only kinetic operations netted results. Take the fight to them
Engagement should be with Afghan Taliban not TTP.

I see you have an agenda here and you have come with all the dates and everything. The solution to the difference between Pakistan and Afghanistan is a political one not military simple as that. Whatever border disputes are, can be solved through dialogue, if the US couldn't dominate Afghanistan, you would be fool to think the sold out army can do any better.
I'm not proposing a military solution, and you are right. Afghanistan can only be solved via well thought-out diplomacy and dialogue, but sometimes you have to use a little force so that diplomacy and dialogue can succeed. A balance is required.

.
You are being hypocritical. If you have Kashmir today, you only have them to thank for that. The qabali people fought to get you Kashmir.

Don't call afghans namak haram. They worked for their money. You imposed the US war on them, destroyed their economy, their families, and now bomb them to please your American overlords. This nation has become a slave to US interests in Asia. We need to introspection and ask ourelves some important questions. Anyone who is with Imran Khan will tell you that war is not a solution. Only dialogue.

America wants instability in Pakistan because that is the only way they can contain China and Russia. As long as the central Asian countries and destabilized. China and Russia will remain weak. As soon as there is peace here, China will expand and Russia will do more trade through Pakistan with India and the rest of the world. So US and India want an unstable central Asia, and our sold out chiefs are helping them every way. They want to keep bombing Afghanistan so there is continued instability there, that instability will spill to Pakistan and that will make Pakistan weaker, its economy will stay weak and eventually pashtun and Baloch will separate from Pakistan.

Yaar stay off the opium, they are earning in OUR country and barking against Pakistan,

They rely on us opening our borders for their trade, food supply, aid everything and yet they have PLOTTED AND PLANNED to hurt us for over 70 years, they are UTTER beghairat and Namak haram people

Are you blind and deaf or have you never opened a history book? The afghans are our ENEMIES they have tried to attack us for decades now

If they were Hindus would we be so merciful????????

Because they are Muslims they have used this to propagate their ethnocentrism and destroyed themselves and tried to destroy us

We TRIED PEACE
WE HAVE REPEATEDLY OFFERED PEACE TO TALIBAN, TTP, HELL EVEN THE KABULI REGIME

all we asked was
STOP supporting separatists and terrorists against us
Respect our borders and sovereignty
Don't allow our Hindu enemy space in Afghanistan to attack and plot against Pakistan

And every time
EVERY FCUKING TIME they tried to screw us

To hell with afghans, let them the bastard's die, let the bastard's starve to death

If they continue terrorism against Pakistan
Then start wiping out villages
END ALL TRADE
CLOSE THE BORDER CROSSINGS, DONT ALLOW ANY AID OR PRODUCTS TO GO THROUGH OR BACK

I hate Hindus the most, but these afghans are number two in the list

Politics aside, Shahbaz Sharif has a tremendous record when it comes to dealing with security threats. CTD under his watch went ahead and killed Malik Ishaq, alongwith his whole gang, (something that was unthinkable for decades), and then neutralised every violent LeJ member in the Province. I do have my differences with him using force without judicial oversight, but it did work for the Province.

He as a Chief Executive (if given authority) will definitely be on the offensive, and will be more likely to authorise cross-border strikes, something the ex-Prime Minister was reluctant to do.

If you'd ask me, if the Military needs authorisation for these strikes, they absolutely do. Even for paperwork, this mess is too big to get into alone, the Political leadership has to take the ownership.

Anyways, I'm glad for this tweet, and I hope the current Prime Minister pushes ahead with his aggressive policy when it comes to dealing with terrorists. We can all fight internally over politics and say whatever we like, but when it comes to the State and Pakistan's national security, we have to stand behind whoever is the Prime Minister.

I'm sure you are an Indian bot who would like Pakistan to be busy on the western front. Pakistan and Afghanistan have more in common than you think. And what's the difference between India attacking Pakistan, and Pakistan breaching Afghanistan boundary. If it is okay for us to invade afghan airspace, then it is okay for India to invade Pakistan airspace too to kill so called terrorists. Think fool!
Well difference is we have. A potent air force Taliban don't

And we can strike back as we did on 27 Feb 19

.
The only way the Taliban will reign in and crack down on the TTP is if the PDF continues to launch a combination of strikes in afghanistan directly targetting ttp/bla. Eventually enough damage and embarrassment will be caused to the Taliban that they will realize that it is in their interest to destroy such terrorist forces themselves.

We must continue to keep up pressure. 3-4 strikes daily and can be ramped up until action is taken!

US was fighting as an occupation force against guerilla fighters which are notoriously difficult. If the point comes in Pak-IEA relations where there is full on battle the IEA will need to cross through the international border which they are not capable of as they do not have missiles, proper attack choppers, fighter jets, drones, good artillery like SH-15, etc. Can we please not hype up the IEA as "afghanistan graveyard of empires, undefeated freedom fighters ", they can not fight efficiently and for long against a conventional military like Pakistan or Iran. We can have drones and f-16s circling kabul as soon as they cross the border. Assuming we use drones properly like the TB-2 we can destroy all their artillery, bases, and convoys along the border.

The only way IEA will fight is to constantly recruit more people and send them in waves to the border which will be a hassle to control but regardless they won't make a dent into our territory
We do not need to go overboard here. The TTP hideouts need to be targeted and the Haram zadas eliminated. Anyone who comes to their aid is fair game and IEA needs to learn this. We do not need to go across the border instead utilizing other means for this.Small team incursions for laser designation and recce is all that is needed.
At the end of the day the IEA knows which side their toast is buttered on. They will come back soon as they cannot get food otherwise and if we barr trading opportunities for their people they will start starving. So it remains in their interest to come to the table and this time listen and enforce their writ in their land. Beyond that Afghanistan should be left to its own devices. Any thing more will be intervention and irresponsible aggression. Again this needs to be a measured response and the concomittent narrative build up to the world will show us in good light.

The leader of Maseed tribe in Pakistan is seen as an Owaisi or a Kashmiri Abdullah, they don't take him seriously. Loya Jirga isn't gonna work as rest of tribes in Pakistan are in different confederation,

My tribe isn't even in same area as TTP areas u gotta ask the Paktiawal in Afg to do that and they aren't gonna ever do loya jirga as Taliban as a whole never held loya jirga.

I'm outta ideas bro. Guess it's a fight to the death unless the IEA sees sense :guns:

What do you suggest?

I'm sure diplomacy has been tried endlessly. But IEA likely sees talking as weakness. Strikes should be used as leverage on the table to show we have power but would prefer peaceful talks.

About civilian casualties, it is very sad and unfortunate and we should do everything it takes to pay compensation and even offer apology. But it should not mean we would not strike TTP in Afghanistan again, since begging the Afghan Taliban didn't help at all and we have already lost more than a 100 soldiers this year.

There's another problem here, the attacks are being carried out inside Pakistan territory, there's something lacking at the operational and tactical stage. High casualty numbers and surprise attacks, the learning curve after so many attacks is very weak in our case. It needs to be looked at.

.
This is extreme ignorance.

Attacks need to be stopped by diplomatic means, military option should be a last resort.
But this last resort can include selective attacks at targets based on concrete intelligence. We do not need to wage full on war but premptive strikes are a gruesome necessity sometimes. However I fully agree this should be the last resort.

Yaar who the hell wants to dominate a shithole like Afghanistan

If we simply close the borders and go slow on trade and access the Afghans will be crying

First get MRAPs, drones for precise intelligence based ops not randon bombing
Air support for your men ans better boarder petrol
Stronger pressure on taliban both diplomatic and economic

Despite 20yrs of anti terror op we dont know how to do anything

Instead of using micro ammunition like e.g turkey did ..we dropping 500 lb bombs
