Go check out Istanbul, Shanghai, Tokyo etc to Karachi or Mumbai.

Gaddafi was terrible failure. He failed despite his long rule and oil to deeply change Libyan society. He never internalized or made his political philosphy intrinsic to the Libyan people. He failed to institutinalise it. At all times his concept remained superficial and a veneer. As soon as he was toppled it got blown over.

This is in contrast to Ataturk, Mao etc who managed to make their reforms stick. I personally think this failure was because Gaddafi was slight bit of a nut and spent more then half his energy on Pan Africa or Pan national dreams. He should have put his head down and made Libya a success story.

I still love Gaddafi but I agree he ended up being a failure he did not put his principles in practice or left a legacy same with Baathist Iraq under Saddam

If what you are saying is true ,there is no point in just shutting mosques...let them be opened too...this corona thing gave us an idea as to which country citizens are most irresponsible and indisciplined in south asia...even bangladesh has extended shutdown till may 5 and the lockdown is not so bad...both in india and bangladesh religious nut cases and people are handled well(except for a funeral in BD which was attended by 1 lakh people)

All temple, chruchses and Gurudwara are close to public in India. It's mosques ans mullah was creating the worst problems in India.

Tableeghi Jamaat accounts for 30% of all cases in India and still counting. And the way they are behaving with medical staffs has become major headache in India.

To deal with mullahs going to mosque despite lock-down police has to resort to lockdowm.

the problem will not stop by only focusing on closing mosques as other sectors like construction industry are open and are spreading this virus more likely than mosques as people in mosques clean their exposed parts of body during ablution which removes virus,there is a house under construction near our locality where large number of laborers are living in small rooms and they will likely spread this virus to whole locality if one of them is infected but no one is stopping them due to financial benefits
