The competition is too tough to put my money on anything. Will it be Elite Police units, Rangers or FC riot control and AT cadres, Army regular infantry or LCB or SSG or will it be just retired personnel who will later become instructors in Qatar.

To provide security on this scale, the reasons can be many and inter-wined:

1. Political - from Qatar's point of view, not Pakistan's. This could direct fingers at guest nations as well as spectrum of threat which may or may not be directly related to Qatar, Pakistan and militaries of both countries.

2. Overview of security - this relates to overseeing security preparations from a higher level through a consulting perspective from the command post. The C4I element including step by step analysis of operation.

3. Training - Joint planning, joint patrolling and a back up force in terms of QRF as well as a VIP evacuation force in a crisis situation.

4. Future Consideration - To be able to conduct operations together in future starting starting from security to a larger broader spectrum in ground and air warfare.

5. Technology - Sharing of technological resources between both forces ranging from surveillance to communication to deploying resources for crisis management.

PS: SSG from Cherat can reach faster than deployment of assets of 111 Brigade for contingency.

Not toy cops. More like mercinaries for weaker Arab states who cannot defend themselves. Hardly toys.

Not enough manpower. When they have a local population of barely 300,000 people. They have military contracts with other Gulf Arab states in case of a foreign attack and defense contracts with Pakistan to keep their militaries maintained.

They also had training from Turkey's military during the sanctions.
