Pakistan Alouette III Replacement Options

.
So how many AS350 and AS550 have been delivered so far?
There have been losses too, AFAIR one AS350 was shot down during Anti Terror operation and one AS550 was lost due to air crash.
Can you provide a source for the one shot down?

.
Many people don’t know that Alouette IIIs were originally assembled in Pakistan in the 70s under licence. Pakistan also assembled L19s without licence.

and how many were produced? How many approximately are still in service?

I saw some alouettes for sale on controller.com pretty cheap. I wonder if they'd be a nightmare to maintain tho.

So, if PN is meant to replace it's Alouette fleet, then what can be most feasible option?PLz take into account the size, weight, price limitations before suggesting any option.

AW-139 and similar helicopters are too big.
I am talking about AW-109 type examples.

Z-9D is the only REALISTIC option.

The other options could be from Leonardo as you said AW109 or even the AW09.

Alouette replacement For CSAR role, not for ASW role.
Z-9 can be used in that role.

Since PAA and PAF operate AW-139 that could be an option also. And if it must be lighter than that then there are lighter AW's available. AW09, AW109, AW169 etc. etc.

But PN would probably want a cost effective option.

I don't know much about PAK Army Aviation..., but just thought i'd share these images & clip that I covered last month during the DxB Air Show. Certainly its a tad too BIG in regard to the conversation taking place.

Q. Why the interest in this particular bird?

Here is the A3 still in service with all 3 branched of Pakistan military. What is the best option for Pakistan to replace this helicopter?

1. AW159 Wildcat

Is used by the Royal Navy and Army air corps in the UK. It also carries a crew of 2 pilots and 5 passengers/soldiers like the A3. It also has the same 2x engines that are used on the T-129 ATAK so that makes good logistics.

2. Develop a Helicopter
India also has large fleet of A3 helicopters and to replace it they are building this Light utility helicopter.

Its a single engine helicopter designed specifically to replace the A3. Maybe Pakistan should develop a similar helicopter to replace its own A3 fleet.

3. Eurocopter EC635

Also a light utility helicopter good for recon, surveillance combat support and transport up to 8 troops. Used by Iraqi army, Jordanian air force and Swiss air force.

a JV with turkey, Ukraine and China May be the best option. Turkey is developing helicopter engines and may get something in the near future

Whatever they pick, it has to have a production line in Pakistan.
