The Pakistan Air Force drone company should strive to master the core technology. If you can't master all the core technologies, you should at least master some core technologies (even if not necessarily the most advanced).
Don't learn India: Indians take money to buy weapons, and that it is. After the war started and played for three days, the ammunition was exhausted and everything was over.

Pakistani drone manufacturing industry is good and has been successful is many core technologies. Collaboration with China was due to sensor and electronic technology that is where China plays a great part for Pakistan. Chinese electronic industry is a giant and even USA and Russia are dependent on it.

there is a sizable isis buildup thanks to you know who. possibly, just a hunch.

If the news is true.

That's not all, they are trying to throw in more money to buy off some of the resistance in Afghanistan, apart from the ISIS fighting units being extracted from Syria and rerouted to Afghanistan. Though the only problem is, the poor Arab desert dwelling and fighting ISIS folk will find the Afghan terrain and environment to be a bit too harsh...

Nope The S400 mostly uses missiles from the older S300 family of SAMs like the 48N6 that can be quadstacked on the TELs, which gives each launcher 4 missiles on alert and each battery 32 missiles. If they use the longer range 40N6 which is unique to the S400 each TEL can only carry 2, limiting each battery to 16 so 48 UAV have to face either 80 to 150 missile.

mind it the target hit is close to 50% for most air defense systems. The reason they are effective is that most air forces wont try to penetrate it for the fear of loosing pilots...but drones cost same if not less than a missile

Long live the China-Pakistan alliance.

I believe that the China-Pakistan alliance will benefit the Chinese and Pakistani military and people and look forward to the joint development of aerospace fighters between China and Pakistan.

Joint development of aerospace fighters between China and Pakistan!

any credible source ?

the only difference is
india is buying everything and pakistan is Co-producing
Indians have no choice, Americans don't sell technology, Israelis don't sell technology, and drone technology in other countries lags behind China.

SSG wanted them for special operations. Imagine a bird flying in a 20^2km circle around an SSG team for 30hrs, providing real time intel and ability to strike any non line of sight threat to the SSG team emanating from behind hills, valleys or other natural obstacles.

This would eliminate the need to call in vipers which can only remain on station for 3 hours before having to refuel and to bring a new pilot in the cockpit. WL-II carries IR guided missiles and Small Diameter Bombs.

It can also carry small but deadly accurate LGBs with laser beaming being done by the craft itself rather than using an SOF guy for painting targets.

It can also be made to carry ELINT, IMINT, SAR or RF Jamming payload. Add its loiter time and you'd have a much less requirement to use those King Airs or DB-110s.
Does Pak have the satellite capability in place to operate these at long ranges? Or is it being worked on?

Also I'm just curious why Pak chose Wing Loong II compared to something like CH5. I thought CH5 was better in terms of range/endurance...is it due to the cost factor?

Just remembered there was a deal with Havelsan to jointly develop drones few months ago. So until that materialises, these drones will do!
