Bhartis are always bragging about India being a supa powa well what happened to that supa powa now? They got scared of just 8 f16s???

.
india is our enemy of course it is going to go in full rundi rona mode even if we show interest in buying a pocket knife

Pakistan just needs to keep improving and ensuring the defence of Pakistan

I marginally agreed with the purchase of F16s
it would take another few years before the JF17 was fully capable in all facets (at the moment it seems to have air and sea components complete) and we are saving for a big purchase of a as yet unconfirmed fighter possibly the J31

Whilst the J10 was capable and had aesa with also having some commonality with the JF17 it doesn't give us much in terms of performance above the F16, we have also had the f16s for decades we know it back to front and have pilots and support staff with massive experience,
rather then plunge billions into the J10 and spending a decade plus building up experience we could add a few f16s here and there, let the JF17 mature until it could be a true multi role plane and then buy big.

We must now reassess get the Jf17 block 3s up and running as soon as possible and maybe take the plunge with the J10s until our 5th gen option becomes more clear

knowing the PAF they could wing it not go for the J10, rely on the F16s we already have and maybe add second hand ones, whilst waiting for the JF17 to mature and then the 5th gen or heavy option

its not the end of the world we wont get these f16s and hopefully it will know some sense into our military planners and take us further away from yankee influence

Americans are no kids to be influenced, they do what they want India or no India. India would be happy if pakistan buys f16 , they are way too prone for sanctions. stop propagating these baseless lousy conspiracy theories.
Growup kid, learn how lobbying works in western society, specially in US. India is openly opposing the deal, idk if you are stupid or just woke-up from other side of the rock but here is the news for you.

You don't know the American capitalist mentality when it comes to dealing with India..they will happily take all these dollars and still sell the F16..infact at one point it could be possible that Indian lobbying dollars would offset part of the F16 cost on American behalf..infact Pakistan and USA can set up a covert partnership where they use India as a piggy bank to offset some cost of military aid to Pakistan...
lol :sarcastic:

India and Pakistan are really at each others throats. Be it India's response towards CPEC or sale of F16 OR for that matter Pakistan's response to Indian SAARC initiatives or India's aspirations for NSG or UNSC seat, the animosity is glaring.

If Pakistan can sabotage India's plans of banning Hafiz Saeed at UN, then they must expect return favors from India

But what I really feel that CAOS has tightened some screws of Mr. Nawaz for his failure to get the deal through. Therefore Pakistani Government has started to accuse India to shift the blame from their Foreign Ministry and diplomats stationed in U.S. for such a poor handling of their National interest.

India is obsessed with Pakistan at every level.
Thing is if they are such a super power as they show hem off as, why just 8 F-16s made them to lose their goodnight sleep?
They are shait scared of Pakistan

I really doubt that India is lobbying as hard as you seem to think.

Just read today's NYT editorial on Pakistan to get an idea of what American policy makers thinking on Pakistan is. It is easy to blame India for everything that goes wrong in Pakistan policy making but to solve your problems you need to figure out what is really going on in the outside world ....and Pakistan's biggest problem is not India.....

In the latest war of words between India and Pakistan, the latter has now accused India of lobbying to block the sale of F-16 fighter aircraft to Islamabad by the US.
Sartaj Aziz, Advisor on Foreign Affairs to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif told the Senate of Pakistan that “the Indian lobby has been making untiring efforts to reverse the US decision and a strong attempt, through Senator Rand Paul’s resolution, to block the sale itself.”

Flat Refusal: India Dismisses US Offer to Purchase F-16 Jets
In 2015, the US reached an understanding with Pakistan for the purchase of 8 F-16 fighter jets worth US $699 million. Under the deal Pakistan was required to pay about US $ 270 million whereas US was supposed to provide the rest from its Foreign Military Financing program.

India is repeating what it did to the Rafale. They've told the USG that the offer to build F-16 IN is very attractive for them. Which naturally makes everyone interested in a bigger order. Whether India ever buys F-16 IN or not, its a different story. Strategically, its time for Pakistan to stop even talking about it and move on to partnering with Russia or someone else (China?) on potentially something more advanced. Pakistan's main interest in the F-16 was primarily because of the ability of the PAF to integrate these aircrafts right away, and because the overall cost is much cheaper due to US paying a part of it. But irrespective of anything, it may turn out to be good for Pakistan at the end of the day, if she was to buy Outright/ License produce or TOT another platform (like how the JFT came into being).

I really doubt that India is lobbying as hard as you seem to think...

India is lobbying much harder than you can imagine. The lobbyists have been told that if this deal isn't stopped, they should expect the contract worth millions (lobby funds) to be over. In fact, many more millions were offered to the lobby firms as India made this matter of national pride and wanted to show their grip on the US leadership. Which I agree, its very, very strong. Lobbyists know how to use the $$$$. Money talks, bullshiit walks.

.
well no shit
Back in Musharraf days the Pakistan lobby was doing pretty well that is why we got the 18 + 18 optional f-16 block 52+ approved
as soon as zardari and haqqani came the pakistan lobby was all but gone

.
There is no threat to stability when India builds nuclear submarine but there are threats when we buy F-16..Well they must not be afraid of it rather they should raise their security measures and BTW Against whom India is going to use his arms???

.
It's true though. India acts like a b*tch whenever Pakistan gets something nice. The Indian government only wants to see Pakistan bleed, and if given the opportunity, would wipe it off the map.

Isn't the feeling mutual ?
