Pak not to grant relief work visas to Indians

Strange.

5m is ok but aid in kind is not. If the reason is security there may be some logic - anything other than shows .. well ..an empty head.

Gop should also stop american aid workers!they may be cia trying to steal nukes.

American's aren't funding terrorist organizations in Pakistan through Afghanistan, and neither do Americans give BLA moral support! Americans already had bases for their UAV's in Pakistan. BTW, stealing a nuke isn't easy, especially when its heavily guarded in a unknown secret location!

Its just an example of PA/ISI hijacking foreing policy.

does it disappoint you!

Jana has above described the wisdom in not granting the visa, which is security concerns of your own govt.
In any case.... no sane person would grant visa to indian doctors in backdrop of epidemics scandals.

We should not make a big deal out of it. What Indians do not understand that like we feel Pakistan is sending terrorists they also feel the same way. They also have similar fear. So understand nobody want's to take chances. I see nothing wrong.

It should be allowed in manageable numbers.

You have to understand that India may infiltrate spies and terrorists under the guise of aid workers so not exercising caution against the Indians would be criminal negligence.

Sir, i understand all those concerns however there is some idiots in your establishment who are behaving pretty weird....First all the drama of Aid and there is enough speculations that it was finally accepted after US intervention.....and now this...

Just consider it and the activities in 2005 Earthquake....This is what India sent

India - Prime Minister Manmohan Singh offers quake assistance to Pakistan. Indian and Pakistani High Commissioners are in touch regarding cooperation in relief work. India has sent 25 tonnes of relief material to Pakistan including food, blankets and medicine. Big Indian companies such as Infosys have offered aid up to $226,000. On October 12, an Ilyushin-76 cargo plane ferried across seven truckloads (about 82 tons) of army medicines, 15,000 blankets and 50 tents and returned to New Delhi. A senior airforce official also stated that they had been asked by the Indian government to be ready to fly out another similar consignment.[7] On October 14, India dispatched the second consignment to relief material to Pakistan, by train through the Wagah Border. The consignment includes 5,000 blankets, 370 tents, 5 tons of plastic sheets and 12 tons of medicine. The third consignment is of medicine and relief material is being readied and will be sent shortly, also by train.[8]. India also pledged $25 million as aid to Pakistan.[9]

Now as Ejaz mentioned that there was plan to send around 400 doctors, now how will all this get done??? Hopefully spome sane person will intervene and say when you have medical professionals right next to border ready to help why the hell we are looking on other side???

Pak nationalist leaders hail India’s offer to send 400 docs to flood affected Sindh

Yes it does, because I was in email contact with some people fromCOVA asking them about this initiative and they were looking forward to it and preparing very hard for it. Some of them ---both muslims and Hindus --I know personally. I also knew some of the doctors who were planning to go. They have no governmental relationship for miles around them. They were supposed to be escorted by the local police and all of them were to work only in the Sindh area because KP or Kashmir area is senstive. I would assume that ISI could have have kept minders with them all the time liek they do formost Indians who come to Pakistan.

If even times of clamity can't unite us then what will??

It was also not ok but we just wanted to stop Indian crying so we took.

Those who are dealing with security they know their job well so we should let them do their job on both sides.

As far as sensitivity. KP is sensitive from Indian point of view and security whereas Sindh in my personal opinion is sensitive for Pakistan keeping in view the large Hindu Pakistanis there.

Nice to know that Pakistan Govt. is so compassionate regarding sensitivities of Indians:rolleyes:. Especially at a time when when they are running around practically with a "Katora" in hand asking for relief $:D

No surprise that with an attitude like, no one in west wants to help out Pakistan.

Please let us know if :

1. You pay Pakistani Taxes.

2. You have Elected Pakistani Leaders - Parliament National Assemblies.

3. Do you have any right to tell the Pakistani Government tht they must Accept Indian Aid - be it Monetary or Doctors etc?

By continuously harping that Pakistan must..... and ....... and ....... and etc. it would seem that you have an "Agenda".

I respect you for "Offering" Aid in Monetary or Human Resources Terms but once it is rejected than there is no need for you to continuously keep on Harping by trying to Force your Agenda down the Throats of the Pakistani Authorities or Pakistani People.

They are Grown up and Mature enough to make their decisions and do not need you to hold their hand.

Stop imposing yourself on them!

I respect your candour in make this factual and honest statement.

Thank you.

A thoughtful mind, when it sees a Nation's flag, sees not the flag only, but the Nation itself; and whatever may be its symbols, its insignia, he reads chiefly in the flag the Government, the principles, the truths, the history which belongs to the Nation that sets it forth.

Patriotism is your conviction that this country is superior to all other countries because you were born in it.

Buddy...this is a forum where people discuss and share their opinions....All the points you shared above are true for everyone...If we go by that logic about "none of your concern" then honestly there won't be any topics to discuss, no???

Regarding the current topic one must understand that

- There is a catastrophe on a large scale
- Pak govt has categorically called that they cannot fix things on their own
- International response was/is luke warm
- People need help desperately

Now no one expects Pak to let India infiltrate spies in form of Aid-workers however one must also be sensitive about the needs of people here....Pak is an arch rival for India and i will not like even a single penny given to them however when it comes to common man we all need to humane...

God forbids had you been one of those victims your view would have been entirely different ...so its easy to reason out things but for desperate people those things don't matter much....400 doctors was just a start....however people will not come forward to help if they very well know that Pak will not give them VISA....and the looser in all this would be the unfortunate people who have already lost a lot...don't you think so???
