Intelligence agencies have given inputs that Pakistan has constructed and repaired 856 bunkers and 143 Border Out-Posts (BOPs) along its boundary with India, Lok Sabha was informed on Monday.

"Government is aware through intelligence inputs that Pakistan has constructed and

carried out repairs of 856 bunkers, 261 morchas, 378 towers and 143 BOPs," defence minister A K Antony said in Lok Sabha.

The defence minister said protests have been lodged with Pakistan Rangers and Flag Meetings are held in all cases.

"The matter is also taken up by the BSF with Pakistan Rangers during scheduled meetings at various levels," Antony said.

He said Government has taken several steps such as establishment of Observation Posts, construction of border fencing and introduction of modern and hi-tech surveillance equipments and upgraded the intelligence set up to check infiltration.

In reply to a query on ragging in Sainik Schools, Antony said in last three years, 11 such incidents have been reported from 24 institutes.

He said after receiving information about ragging in Tilaiya Sainik School, a Brigadier was sent there to investigate the matter and it occurred that the particular incident had happened in November 2010.

. . . . .
The threat is from west, now as you already lost you last bargaining chip against USA,they have nothing to loose now.So concentrate more on west than east.

Obama will not attack pakistan till elections next year, but after elections all options are open.

.
And so what?

Next time, they will also say that the taxi-way at Multan AAB in front of the Base Commander office is being upgraded and repaired!

And then the Hangar of the EME battalion is going to be fully air-conditioned!

.
None of the bunkers mentioned in the info. are for static defence but more of border observation posts shadowing the corss border emplacement of simillar type of posts.

These are for observation and anti smuggling/anti infilterations operations mostly manned by Pakistan Rangers.

But how will we sell papers without some sensationalism.

i am simply confuse what india has to do we are making repairing bunkers inside pakistan? its occupy land by us? or we have no rights?
Can some army men comment on this. Is it violation of any procedure, like whether bunkers should not be built too close to IB.
The fact that Indian side complained to pakistani rangers makes me think so.

.
these are routine maintenance tasks which any country has full rights to but seems like some people are so insecure they can make an issue out of anything..there is no need to have an input from intelligence agencies to find out about such activities they are out in the open for all to see...:cheesy:

And reply by Pakistan Rangers would have been '....Shut up B**ch....'

Did you not think for a minute before writing: "Hold on a minute, if the report says about official complain, there must be some technicalities involved. Like how far the fence should be from LoC. Or building dam on a river within your own territory".
