Pakistan should also have more fertility clinics. These fertility clinics in Canada have pretty expensive charges. So the doctors in Pakistan should build fertility clinics, make money and give hope to infertile parents. Just to be sure parents should have genetic test of the child to make sure it is their own biological baby. There are have been few cases of unscrupulous doctors using different sperm or egg, sometime their own.

there is no reason why Pakistan cannot. We have Pakistani-Americans and Europeans coming to Pakistan to get advanced treatments, surgeries etc.

as is the situation of our schools, if you have the money you can get the best


me personally, I dont think that fertility clinics is our biggest priority. If anything, they are counter-productive. We need to devise a long-term mission to promote proper family planning in the country.

These people in these videos have no health care are poor and go to third world countries for operations. Of course they will make these remarks, they can't afford quality health care in the U.S. These best medical instutions in India are no Johns Hopkins Hospital, Georgetown, Mayo Clinic they are on par with the substandard suburban hospitals in the U.S., where the doctors employed at these institutions couldn't fare well on their MCATs and only got accepted to trash Medical Schools ie. schools in Putero Rico, then came back to the main land barely passed the board exam and are licensed practice.

I don't think Pakistani-Canadians and Pakistani-Europeans are coming to Pakistan for surgeries since they have medicare system that covers all medical expenses. I know few of my Pakistani-American relatives going to Pakistan to get less expensive medical treatments since they do not have universal healthcare.

Abu please watch the videos in my previous post and learn to accept facts. India has one of the best medical facilities in Asia. Escorts, AIIMS, and host of many other world class hospitals are rated among the best in the world. There is a huge influx of patient from Canada and the US are now going to India to get treated because of the cost and the world class service provided. All all those trolls who cant even accept this fact, i feel sad for you. Maybe you should ask the high number of Pakistani people who come to India to get treated. Learn to accept facts and grow up. The videos that are posted have reports from ABC, now dont write ABC of as Indian propaganda also.

People have the same reservations with India's IT sector as well. The point is, cost is just one aspect. Quality service is important to these people as well. Otherwise, they can go South America, Africa or other countries in Asia, since the exchange rates are more favorable.

I had a pretty serious medical condition for which I was treated in India. I have some idea of the quality of service I received in India, and the quality of follow-up in the US. Both were pretty comparable. "World Class" doctors are not the patent of any one country. World class facilities - maybe yes, but there is nothing money can't buy and some of the Indian Hospital chains - Apollo, Escorts, Sankara foundation etc. - can afford just about anything.

Also, the ranking that you are referring to is valid in general, but not to this thread. Universities are ranked based on the amount of research that goes on in them. This is true of all fields, not just medicine. In this sense, the US is streets ahead of all other countries. But that does not matter if all a person needs is a standard procedure.

This is not to say Indian doctors have not done any path-breaking surgeries. But that is for some other discussion.
