Pakistan, China counter-terrorism drill concludes

RAWALPINDI - Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif on Tuesday said that special relationship between the armies of Pakistan and China - which has transformed overtime - will reach unprecedented heights.


He expressed these views during his visit to Bahadur Ranges (Attock) where he witnessed the Joint Field Exercise Warrior-III, while a senior-level Chinese military delegation led by Gen Li Fayi represented People’s Liberation Army (PLA) on the closing ceremony of Pakistan-China Special Forces joint exercise for counterterrorism.


Addressing the ceremony, General Sharif lauded the young soldiers for their display of professionalism and skills during the exercise, saying the exercise had boosted military relations between Pakistan and China. “The everlasting relation will grow to unprecedented heights as both countries will continue to work towards total elimination of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations,” he added.


The army chief specially commended the SSG troops for their outstanding performance in Zarb-e-Azb military operation. He vowed to continue counterterrorism operations with the same momentum till the achievement of a terror-free Pakistan.

Pakistan, China joint counter-terrorism drills conclude

RAWALPINDI: Chief of the Army Staff General Raheel Sharif on Tuesday witnessed the closing ceremony of the joint military exercise of the special forces from Pakistan and China.

According to an announcement by the ISPR, Warrior-3 joint exercises were focused on counter terrorism.

Addressing troops on the occasion, Gen Raheel said that Pak-China military relations have transformed adding these relations would grow to ‘new heights.’

He said that Pakistan would to continue to work for total elimination of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.

Gen Raheel also commended Pakistan’s Special Services Group for its ‘outstanding’ performance in on-going Operation Zarb-e-Azb. He reiterated that the operation would continue till terror-free Pakistan. – Samaa
