My comment was directly squarely at our defenders: the military leadership. We have plenty of threads / opportunities to vent our anger on the politicians but this one is purely security / military related thread. What I see is total lack of a coherent strategy to respond to such a situation. By now PAF should have reduced the enemies to ashes. Then reinforcement can arrive on choppers.

I don’t disagree. However directions always come from the political establishment. In Pakistan however its a different scenario where military is incharge of pretty much everything that has got to with our relationship with Afghanistan and India. They share as much of the blame as anyone else for not acting. I was looking at the tweet from ISPR and it boiled my blood. He is showing concerns over the afghan population while his own dies.

Given Pakistan's particular situation and especially particular case, I think it has to be the military leadership altogether. Here even a Lt Gen. shouldn't be required to repulse an attack. Whoever is the commanding officer their regardless of rank...Captain, a Major or a Colnol, should be able to directly contact the nearest airbase for an air support, similarly he should contact artillery and other departments / arms and get the job done. A higher level permission only be required when we want to launch an assault or go deep into the enemy's territory.

A simpler solution would be to invade into the next hill to set up plsitions with Affghan Govtt approval, allow mining and fencing of bordsr and return once wotk is done. We dont want any morw provinces. Ut ingress and egree into and ojt of Pak should be monitored for weapons and drugs. Rest is fine.
