Bhai we lost 2 good men and 5 injured, no missile is worth more their lives. We are talking about 7 families here. Level these bastards flat.The rag tag loonies not worth wasting a decent missile, let our boys target practice with G-3s.
Agree, i was also thinking, why does MI fail to detect such large groups of militants. At least HUMINT should be enough for this.
True but at the same time we don't want to fall into the trap, these scumbags just didn't wake up in the morning and decided to attack our posts, there are certain designs and vested interests that would like to see us getting engaged on Afghan border.....but rest assured, our losses will not go unpunished.Bhai we lost 2 good men and 5 injured, no missile is worth more their lives. Afghan officials said that Pakistani troops crossed on to Afghan soil, prompting a response by border forces and the local tribal force.
“Two tribesmen were killed and the exchange of fire is ongoing,” said Mohmud Zazai, a senior army commander in the area.
Pakistan has blamed Pakistani Taliban militants it says are based on Afghan soil for attacks that have taken place in the region over the past two years, urging Kabul to eradicate “sanctuaries” for militants.

Something very strange is going on, so two "tribesman" were killed in return fire. Is it the norm to have civilians fighting along regular forces or was this a TTP attack gobe wrong?
This was eye opening;
Mosques in Pakistan’s Kurram Agency region, where the attack took place, made announcements urging locals to assist the armed forces, prompting throngs of armed civilians to arrive at the border after the attack.
Pakistan's tribes seem to know who the enemy is and they want them.
Not just that, I see that we are inadequately prepared for such attacks. The response is weak to say the least. By now PAF should have been pounding their position and we have let a loose a hell on them but it seems we have left a few FC soldiers to fight and die.Failure of intelligence if we couldn't pickup this huge gathering of ISIS, TTP and Afghan terrorists across the border in advance. What are those ground surveillance radars doing?
Our politicans and government officials have too many vested interests. This cycle is going to continue till the time a change occurs on a major scale in Pakistan.Not just that, I see that we are inadequately prepared for such attacks. My comment was directly squarely at our defenders: the military leadership. We have plenty of threads / opportunities to vent our anger on the politicians but this one is purely security / military related thread. What I see is total lack of a coherent strategy to respond to such a situation. By now PAF should have reduced the enemies to ashes. Then reinforcement can arrive on choppers.Our politicans and government officials have too many vested interests.
