ISLAMABAD, March 18 (UPI) -- The Turkish and Pakistani air forces conducted 12 days of joint exercises in an effort to strengthen military cooperation, officials said.

The operations, called "Indus Vipera-2013," were carried out at Mushaf Air Force Base in Pakistan's Sargodha province, Turkey's Anadolu Agency reported Monday.

Turkey flew five F-16 warplanes and a fuel tanker to Pakistan for the exercises.

The two countries also conducted joint military exercises in 2004 and 2008.

That is interesting. Would'nt TUAF read as Tunisian Air Force, while it is the Turkish Air Force that is being discussed here.

No, initially it was decided to be named TUAF but that reads like TUHAF which means "weird" in turkish. So it was changed to TURAF

Does anyone know if Iran has recently or ever allowed PAF to use its airspace to attend air exercise in Turkey?
